Prep Hoops Indiana Regional Preview – Class 2A North

<p>Last week there were 404 teams across four classes that began their journey to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Now, a week later, only 64 Sectional champions are still alive. That group will be cut in half once again following Saturday's Regional round. We will spend this week here at Prep Hoops Indiana previewing the upcoming Regional games. Let's dive on in and take a closer look at the Class 2A North.</p>   <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/2026/03/prep-hoops-indiana-regional-preview-class-1a-north-3/">1A North</a></p>   <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/2026/03/prep-hoops-indiana-regional-preview-class-1a-south-3/">1A South</a></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Matchups</h2>   <p><strong>Huntington North Regional:</strong> Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (14-11) vs. Bremen (22-4)</p>   <p><strong>North Judson Regional:</strong> Westview (24-1) vs. Gary 21st Century (17-6)</p>   <p><strong>Lapel Regional:</strong> Blackford (20-6) vs. Lapel (20-5)</p>   <p><strong>Frankfort Regional:</strong> Benton Central (11-14) vs. Oak Hill (24-1)</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Best Regional</h2>   <p>Looking at the four northern Indiana Regional matchups in Class 2A, it is very hard not to argue that Westview vs. Gary 21st Century is the best game of the group. When looking at both Westview and Gary 21st Century, these two are among the few teams many have viewed as legitimate contenders coming out of the northern part of the Class 2A bracket. Without question, the best player on the floor in this game will be [player_tooltip player_id='1561080' first='Terrence' last='Hayes'] of Gary 21st Century, but Westview will have a strong counter in the duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2391343' first='Kaden' last='Grau'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] — two players who have helped carry them to 24 wins this season. Both teams also made it to the Regional round without much trouble, meaning you can expect two well-rested squads ready to go at it. Whoever wins this game could very well emerge as the true favorite to come out of the north in Class 2A.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Regional</h2>   <p>When looking at the other three games in the northern Regional group in Class 2A, you could say all three feel a bit under the radar. For the sake of picking just one, the matchup that stands out the most is the Huntington North Regional game between Fort Wayne Bishop Luers and Bremen. Luers had a very average regular season but appears to be playing its best basketball at the right time. However, it will face a Bremen team that has been dominating for most of the season at the Class 2A level. There is some really good talent in this game, highlighted by [player_tooltip player_id='2414954' first='Chase' last='Devine'] of Bremen. It will be interesting to see how Bremen handles the athleticism of the Luers trio of Taylor, Davis, and English.
