<p>With the season over, an extremely talented 2026 class in northern Kentucky, including Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties, moves on, turning the page to the class of 2027. This group gained valuable experience throughout the season, making significant impacts for their teams and positioning themselves to take on larger leadership roles next year. Here are 25 of the top players from the Nnorthern Kentucky class of 2027 based on their performances this past season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2326411' first='Amontae' last='Lowe'] stepped into a lead role for Newport this season, helping guide the Wildcats to the 9th Region All “A” Classic championship, where he earned tournament MVP honors, along with a trip to the All “A” state semifinals. Newport also reached the 9th Region Tournament and finished with a 21-10 record, going 14-5 against regional opponents. Lowe averaged 20.1 points per game on the season and knocked down 54 three-pointers. He earned NKBBCA Division III All-Conference honors and was also named to the 9th Region All-Tournament Team.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">In his first season at Covington Catholic after transferring from Mason County, [player_tooltip player_id='2828341' first='Braeden' last='Myrick'] made an immediate and significant impact. He averaged 17 points per game, second on the team, while shooting 54.2% from the field, 45.7% from three-point range, and 87.3% from the free throw line. Myrick knocked down 106 three-pointers on the season, establishing himself as one of the top shooters in the state. He earned NKBBCA Division I All-Conference honors, surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career, and picked up offers from Kentucky Christian and Tennessee Wesleyan. Myrick played a key role in the Colonels' success throughout the season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2424761' first='Tayden' last='Lorenzen'] joined the team after the season had already started but quickly made an impact. He led the Bluebirds in scoring with 13.8 points per game and in rebounding with 6.3 per game, shooting 57.4% from the field and 78% from the free throw line. Lorenzen helped Highlands to a 25-6 record, going undefeated in district play and winning the 36th District tournament. He earned NKBBCA Division I All-Conference honors. Though a standout football player committed to Miami (OH), Tayden showed impressive talent on the hardwood.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Moving into a starting role this season, Bray Bilton stepped in confidently, averaging 18.6 points per game while shooting 51.5% from the field and leading the Pioneers in rebounding with 4.7 per game. He guided the team to 16 wins, a 32nd District championship, and a trip to the 8th Region tournament. Bilton earned 32nd District tournament MVP honors, was named to the All-8th Region team, and received NKBBCA Division I All-Conference recognition. He consistently showed the ability to take over games and score when his team needed it most.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='3430356' first='Wyatt' last='Shearer'] played a key role for Walton-Verona this season, helping the Bearcats capture the 8th Region All “A” Classic title and reach the All “A” state semifinals, as well as competing in the 8th Region Tournament. Walton-Verona finished with 17 wins, and Shearer averaged 14 points per game. He earned spots on the 32nd District All-Tournament team, the All-8th Region team, and the All “A” State Tournament team.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2481699' first='Hunter' last='Seng'] averaged 10.3 points per game while shooting 54.7% from the field and pulling down 6.8 rebounds per game this season. He helped the Colonels to 18 wins and a trip to the 9th Region tournament, earning a spot on the 9th Region All-Tournament team. Seng used his size and frame effectively, making a strong impact in the paint on both ends of the floor. He displayed solid footwork and IQ while consistently playing hard in all situations throughout the season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2125709' first='Holden' last='Smith'] averaged a team-high 17.2 points per game this season, leading the Raiders to one of the most successful years in program history. He earned MVP honors in the 33rd District Tournament while helping guide the team to its first district title since 2014 and played a key role in the program's first 9th Region championship since 2002, earning 9th Region All-Tournament Team honors. The Raiders finished 23-9, tied for the second-most wins in a season in program history, while posting a 14-4 record in region play and a perfect 5-0 mark in district games. Smith was also named to the NKBBCA Division I All-Conference Team.</p>
