Players to Watch:

Kingswood-Oxford: [player_tooltip player_id='2341412' first='DJ' last='Biggins'], a 6'2" guard, was recently named the Founders League Player of the Year and has been terrific for Kingswood Oxford this winter. With a future on the football field at Boston College, Biggins will look to close out his basketball career with a championship this winter. He's got a really quick first step, the ability to score it over size around the rim, and plays with toughness on both ends of the floor. He is electric in transition and as a point of attack defender, making plays on both ends of the floor that help his team win basketball games.

NYMA: Jayden Johnson, a 6'3" guard, has rounded out his offensive game this winter, making plays as both a scorer and creator. With great length and some nice burst, he does a good job of attacking off the bounce, but also has some real wiggle with the ball in his hands, allowing him to create space to get into his own scoring game. He shows good vision in the half-court and the ability to not only score with length at the rim, but also to elevate over defenders into his mid-range jumper. Defensively, he's a playmaker in passing lanes and does a great job of keeping opposing ball-handler out of the paint off the bounce.

#2 Holderness School vs. #3 King School

Game Info: At the Holderness School on Saturday, March 7th, at 2:00 PM.

How They Got Here: Holderness knocked off #7 Lexington Christian Academy (88-66), while King defeated #6 Beaver Country Day School (66-65).

Players to Watch:

Holderness: [player_tooltip player_id='2341360' first='Andre' last='Langley'], a 6'5" guard, has terrific positional size and the ability to make plays on both ends of the floor, showing a high basketball IQ and good instincts with the ball in his hands. He's an instinctive cutter, has the ability to step behind screens and DHOs as a shooter, and does a nice job of getting into the paint off the bounce, where he can make plays for himself and his teammates. He's an impressive off ball mover, can play in the half-court as a primary scorer or creator, and doesn't easily get sped up. Defensively, his combination of size, strength, and mobility allows him to guard four positions, while also making a high level impact on the defensive glass.

King: [player_tooltip player_id='1532461' first='Julian' last='Dent Jr.'], a 6'5" forward, was the hero from King's quarterfinal win, finishing a four-point play late in the game to secure the victory. A high level athlete with plus length, he's at his best as a playmaker in space, both offensively and defensively. He does a great job of running the floor in transition, can really crash the offensive glass, and has the ability to finish above the rim or with creativity around it. Defensively, he closes space quickly, using long strides to cover ground, which, when combined with his physical attributes, allows him to operate as both a big time shot blocker and disruptive playmaker in passing lanes.
