Today, we'll start with AAA!

#1 Newman School vs. #4 New Hampton School

Game Info: At The Track at New Balance, in Boston, on Saturday, March 7th, at 2:00 PM.

How They Got Here: Newman stormed past #8 South Kent (101-61), and New Hampton held on against #5 Bridgton Academy (72-69).

Players to Watch:

Newman: [player_tooltip player_id='2341371' first='Chase' last='Geremia'], a 6'2" guard, often flies a little under-the-radar due to the sheer amount of talent on the Newman squad. Opposing defenses can't choose to ignore him though, as he's one of the top perimeter shooters in New England. Geremia does a great job of moving without the basketball, has deep range on his shot, and has really evolved as a decision maker against long closeouts. His ability to play within himself on the offensive end of the floor, while also guarding at a high level defensively, makes him a perfect piece of the puzzle for Newman.

New Hampton: [player_tooltip player_id='2875628' first='Wesley' last='Waddles'], a 6'6" wing, fills a variety of roles for New Hampton with his versatility and two-way impact. Defensively, he's capable of taking on the toughest matchup on the floor and can guard a variety of positions due to his combination of basketball IQ, moblility, and strength. Offensively, he can operate as a jumbo creator, making decision in the half-court with the ball in his hands and also showing the ability to score it at all three levels. If New Hampton wants to pull off the upset, he'll have to be really good on Saturday.

#2 Vermont Academy vs. #6 Hoosac School

Game Info: At Vermont Academy on Saturday, March 7th, at 3:00 PM.

How They Got Here: Vermont took care of business against #7 Darrow School (81-70), while Hoosac pulled off the upset against #3 St. Thomas More School (91-90).

Players to Watch:

Vermont: [player_tooltip player_id='2568519' first='Michael' last='Bradley'], a 6'7" wing, has elite physical tools and the ability to operate as a mismatch on the offensive end of the floor. He gives Vermont a super versatile piece that can give them different looks on both ends of the floor, impressing with his ability to rebound, defender, and score at the rim. He's done a nice job of adjusting to the speed and physicality of the prep game and has continued to develop his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands on the offensive end of the floor, while also proving capable of guarding multiple positions at a high level defensively.

Hoosac: Dusan Eric, a 6'8" forward, is coming off a 33-point performance in the quarterfinal round that included hitting the game-winning three late in that contest. He does a great job of operating as a pick-and-pop big, space the floor with his ability to shoot the basketball, and opening up driving lanes for his guards. He does a nice job of playing at his own speed, makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, and knows how to score with touch around the basket. On the other end of the floor, he does a good job of walling up in the paint and is able to make plays in passing lanes with his length.
