Class 1A: Barr-Reeve 50 vs. Triton 37

Good Morning from Gainbridge Fieldhouse! We are excited to get the day started with this matchup between Class 1A "blue bloods." These two teams now combine for 13 State Finals appearances since 2002 including three total state titles.

Two really good crowds from these small town communities with rich basketball traditions.

Triton jumps out to a 6-0 lead. Barr-Reeve is pressuring them defensively, but the Trojans' guards have done a good job of burning off that pressure and getting to the basket.

Carson Yoder got Barr-Reeve on the board, but [player_tooltip player_id='2795487' first='Julian' last='Swanson'] answered with a three-point shot assisted by Landon Patrick. The Trojans lead 9-4 at the first media timeout.

Triton leads Barr-Reeve 11-6 at the end of the first quarter. [player_tooltip player_id='2795487' first='Julian' last='Swanson'] leads the way with 5 points.

Sophomore forward Josh Miller is starting to find some success inside for the Vikings. They certainly have the size and length advantage in this one. Triton still leads 15-13 at the second quarter media timeout.

A layup by [player_tooltip player_id='2797665' first='Braxton' last='Neidigh'] with 2:57 to play in the first half gives Barr-Reeve their first lead of the game at 16-15.

A nice alley-oop from Landon Patrick to Jayden Overmyer tied the game at 20-20 going into the half. [player_tooltip player_id='2795487' first='Julian' last='Swanson'] leads all scorers with 8 points. Josh Miller has 7 points for Barr-Reeve.

Josh Miller has 11 points and 6 rebounds now for Barr-Reeve as they lead 30-28 with 2:51 to play in the third quarter. Triton is just 2-10 from three-point range and it is getting harder and harder to penetrate against the Vikings.

[player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber'] comes from off of the ball to get a steal and runout layup. [player_tooltip player_id='2797665' first='Braxton' last='Neidigh'] throws a beautiful crosscourt pass from the post to [player_tooltip player_id='1561017' first='Korben' last='Boyd'] for a three. It is now 35-30 Barr-Reeve with 46.7 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561017' first='Korben' last='Boyd'] has stepped up in a big way off of the bench for Barr-Reeve. He hit a three-point shot late in the third quarter and now has five points to begin the fourth. The Vikings lead Triton 40-30 with 5:32 to play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2795487' first='Julian' last='Swanson'] breaks Triton's drought scoring their first bucket of the fourth quarter at the 4:00-minute mark. Barr-Reeve leads 41-32 with 3:43 to play.

Barr-Reeve secured their third state championship with a 50-37 win over Triton.

Sophomore forward Josh Miller finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds while [player_tooltip player_id='1561017' first='Korben' last='Boyd'] added 11 points all in the final nine minutes of the game. [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber'] had 11 points and 4 assists for the Vikings.

Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2795487' first='Julian' last='Swanson'] led all scorers with 16 points in the loss for Triton.

Class 2A: Parke Heritage 57 vs. Westview 56

Another game here at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with two excellent crowds. It was neat to get to hear the "Westview Whistler" in person. He has been leading pregame cheers for decades.

Parke Heritage has spent much of this season as the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A #1 team while Westview has mostly been in the Top 5.

The Wolves are passing it well, per usual, to start the game. [player_tooltip player_id='1560965' first='Treigh' last='Schelsky'] hit [player_tooltip player_id='2140339' first='Carter' last='Crum'] with a pocket pass. Crum then kicked out an offensive rebound to [player_tooltip player_id='2756991' first='Brenden' last='Goins'] for a three.

Westview burns a timeout with 1:10 to play in the first quarter as Parke Heritage extends their early lead to 17-9. They are shooting it well from three-point range while Schelsky runs the show.

[player_tooltip player_id='2756991' first='Brenden' last='Goins'] ends the opening quarter with three three-point shots and 9 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1560965' first='Treigh' last='Schelsky'] has 6 points and 4 assists as the Wolves lead 20-11.

Here comes Westview! 5'5" freshman guard finished an offensive rebound tip-in and then [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] dumped one off to [player_tooltip player_id='2391343' first='Kaden' last='Grau'] in transition. They now trail Parke Heritage by just one point, 24-23, with 3:28 to play in the half.

[player_tooltip player_id='2391343' first='Kaden' last='Grau'] buries a three-point shot at the buzzer to get the Warriors within two points. Parke Heritage 30 Westview 28.

Grau has 10 points and [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] has 7 points for Westview. [player_tooltip player_id='2756991' first='Brenden' last='Goins'] leads Parke Heritage with 11 points.

Daniel Yoder has made three big three-point shots in the third quarter to keep Westview right in the game. The most recent one triggered a Parke Heritage timeout, but the Wolves still lead 43-40.

It is 48-45 Parke Heritage after three quarters. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2888376' first='Bryce' last='Yoder'] knocked in a three-point shot as time expired for Westview. They are now 11-21 from beyond the arc.

Pierce Yoder started the fourth quarter with an immediate pick-and-pop three-point shot to tie the game at 48-48. [player_tooltip player_id='2391343' first='Kaden' last='Grau'] then got a bucket inside following a Parke Heritage illegal screen to get on top 50-48.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] steal. [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] dunk. That gave Westview a brief lead with less than a minute to play. However, [player_tooltip player_id='1560965' first='Treigh' last='Schelsky'] drove to the basket, drew help, and dumped it off to [player_tooltip player_id='2272232' first='Isaac' last='Pickel'] for a go-ahead layup. 57-56 Parke Heritage with 8 seconds.

Schlabach had the game-winner up on the rim, it bounced multiple times, but did not fall. What a game. Parke Heritage 57 Westview 56.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560965' first='Treigh' last='Schelsky'] finished with 17 points and 5 assists while [player_tooltip player_id='2756991' first='Brenden' last='Goins'] also scored 17 points and dished out 5 assists for Parke Heritage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2391343' first='Kaden' last='Grau'] had 14 points and 7 rebounds for Westview. [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] had 13 points and 8 assists.
