Hazelett, Williams Efficient Night Move Kankakee Past East Peoria

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The highest profile 3A game on the slate Wednesday night was Kankakee against East Peoria.  This game featured three prospects ranked inside the top 10 of their classes including the #1 senior and #2 junior, but the biggest difference maker was Indiana State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1552625' first='EJ' last='Hazelett'].  The game lived up to the hype being a close contest throughout and a single possession margin in the final minute.  In the end Kankakee moved on with a 59-53 victory.  We dive into the top performers from this game!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph aggressive and stayed that way all game long.  He took it right at the defense attacking out of the high post off the dribble on straight line takes.  Handles it very well for a four man with shake and spins.  Also shot it well from three off the catch nailing one from the corner along another from NBA range.  Rebounded at a high rate snatching boards at their high point throughout the game.  Defensively he was very impactful getting steals with his active hands using his length to also protect the rim.  Passes it well out of the post to shooters.  He had an efficient night of 19 points Illinois defended East Peoria's star and didn't give him a ton of room to work all game long using his length and lateral quickness.  Also cut passing lanes multiple times for dunks in transition.  Anticipates those passes so well game in and game out for a couple easy buckets each contest.  Williams blocked multiple shots including a massive swat out of bounds at the rim along with one on a Kitt three point attempt late.  On the other end he was efficient finishing out of the dunker spot, slashing for a euro step, and drained a pull up triple.  Ended the night with 16 points (6-8 FG), 3
