AIA defeated Fork Union in a 4vs5 matchup to advance to the next round of the elite prep league championships, and big John Whorton turned heads. He can do a bit of everything, shooting threes from the pick and pop, off relocations, or just the normal catch and shoot. Whorton has shown a growing comfort level putting the ball on the floor, leveraging this shooting gravity by changing levels and backing down defenders on the way to the basket. Speaking of a back to the basket game Whorton is a quick a decison maker going up quickly with an array of moves or delivering passes to shooters off a collapse. A new development in his game lately has been his ability to make passes off the short roll. Intangible wise Whorton runs the floor hard is active and relatively on defense. Overall just a good natured kid with alot of upside. Whorton finished the game with 13 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists showcasing his versatility off the bench..

CJ collins is another talented post-grad player on Athletes in Action Prep. Standing at 6 feet 4 is a pure off-ball sniper who excels at playing off others. Collins hit a few momentum-swinging threes to secure the win for AIA over Fork Union.

Yet Another prospect on Athletes in Action prep; the Swiss army knife finished with 19 points 6 rebounds and a block in their victory over Fork Union Wednesday afternoon. Deandre Lott can shoot the corner three, be a ball hawk on ball, protect the rim as the low man off ball and can put the ball on the floor. Lott is a high energy guy who competes every second hes out there and does so much to impact winning.

Rollins is a player who allows for a lot of lineup versatility. Spire plays him at the 3, the 4, and even occasionally as a small ball 5. At 6 feet 5 with a wider frame, Rollins can somewhat hold his own in the post against much taller players. Offensively, Rollins is a mismatch driving on bigs from the perimeter and finishing around the basket thanks to some solid footwork and a strong understanding of finishing angles. Rollins finds himself very often getting to the free-throw line and can finish through contact with the best of them. These driving opportunities are open for Rollins due to defenders having to honor his shooting ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1631541' first='Breylon' last='Webb'] is a 6 foot 6 dribble,shoot wing on Western Reserve Academy.
