Collins is doing a post-grad prep season at Athletes in Action and is another prospect on this list who I think will benefit from another season of development before heading to the college ranks. Standing a little over 6-foot-3, Collins is a deadeye shooter from three and brings the confidence and quiet swagger to bury a few in a row and change the course of games. He’ll surprise you now and again with a tough step back or stopping on a dime in transition while maintaining good balance and concentration as he drills shots over the outreached arms of opponents closing out. Collins also showed off his basketball IQ and willingness to communicate on the defensive end to make sure everyone remained on the same page.

One of a handful of former OHSAA standouts on this AIA Prep squad from the class of 2025, Collins did what I’ve seen him do before which is make tough shots on the perimeter. Collins was also communicating throughout practice as a leader on the court and showed high IQ when playing with the ball in his hands. Now in the class of 2026, Collins remains one of the better perimeter shooters in Ohio.

Collins is a player you have to guard and gameplan for. He is one of the better shooters in the state. He has good length with a quick release that makes it hard to even contest his shot. Something that I saw was a huge improvement was his ability to create his own shot. He had an effective fade way and step-back game. He still comes off screens fast and can pull it quickly. He made tough and contested shots often that you can’t do anything about as a defender.

Marysville got a tough win in overtime thanks in large part to the perimeter shooting of Collins. Marysville got up early with Collins knocking down back-to-back corner 3-pointers and a pull-up 3-pointer in the first six minutes of the game. As the game went on, Collins did a nice job of using pump fakes to get overaggressive defenders off him and he knocked down two baseline 15 footers because of this. In overtime, Collins hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key to take the lead and that was enough to secure the victory when it was all said and done. Few players in central Ohio have the microwave shooting ability that Collins possesses and today was one of his better shooting games of the early season.

Another player who had a monster scrimmage, Collins put up 39 points against Foster in an impressive showing. One of the elite shooters in central Ohio, Collins will launch from NBA range with confidence. Small college programs looking to add a shooter to help your floor spacing in the halfcourt should take a look at Collins.

Collins is a sniper at the highest level. He is someone who can change the momentum of games with his shooting ability. He has unlimited range and knockdown shots at a high level. He shoots the ball well off the dribble, spot up, and on the move. I always am impressed with his off-ball movement and create shots for himself without the ball even in his hands. He can stretch the floor for any team and you can rely on him to consistently knock down shots.

is a sniper. He comes off the ball screens and off-ball screens ready to shoot it. He is always looking for space to get his shot off and has a knack for finding it. He has perfect footwork when shooting the ball. This allows him to be equally as deadly as an off-the-dribble shooter and catch-n-shoot. He has an unlimited range. You need to guard him as soon as he crosses the half-court line because he’ll make you pay if not. I was impressed that towards the end of the game, Collins started attacking the rim. He was putting his head down and getting to the rim.

Collins is settling in at his new school and doing what he does best, which is shoot the basketball. Collins had a couple scoop layups after getting to the rim and his most impressive bucket was a mid-range pull-up at the first half horn. Another impressive move Collins made to create space was a snatch back dribble to stop his momentum and send his defender flying. Combine that with his ‘in the gym’ range and Collins is one of the more talented guards in central Ohio’s 2025 class.

Collins was one of the younger prospects from Central Ohio I evaluated although he wasn’t able to display his shooting ability Saturday. Instead of scoring, Collins did things to help teammates, including setting ball screens on the pass. Tight handle and overall a good backcourt option for any team. Should see some solid numbers with Coffman as a scoring option on the wing.
