Class of 2029 Rankings: Shooters to Track

Johnson is a certified sniper. He made his mark throughout the season, including a 10 three-pointer performance in December. Shooting was how he fit into an upperclassman laden team, that finished runner ups in Class 5A. It's natural for a young guard to get his feet wet as a sharpshooter. Then developing into an all around impact player. When going against his age group, he's a complete and confident scorer. Expect that to be showcased this spring and summer at the the 15U level. Lead to success for his sophomore season.     Noles is such a strong shooter that he was able to crack the rotation on a senior laden team that won the Class 6A championship. Expect that valuable experience to serve as a springboard this summer. Especially as last weekend at LeGYnds training camp, Noles routinely caught fire from three. Runs hard to his spots in transition, moves smartly in the halfcourt and has deep range. Can put it on the floor a bit to take advantage of over aggressive defenders.     Long range shooter, who is also putting in the work into becoming a lead guard. The gravity his shooting provides helps him score and set up his teammates. Started to find his stride when the games mattered most, helping Casady to a Class 3A Area appearance. Averaging 15.8 points per game in 5 games, and shooting a blistering 52% from three in those contests. While his all around game is making good developments, he does appear to have certifiable long range shooting super power as a great base.     Morgeson's freshman year showed signs of him being a momentum shooting performance. When Edmond Santa Fe was rolling in December at the Edmond Open, he was hitting momentum threes. Confident shooter, his threes have a little extra weight because of that confidence can be energy giving. Expect his role to grow next year and his long rang bombs to be crucial in Santa Fe building on their Class 6A Quarterfinals finish.     Even on a team filled with outstanding seniors, Flemon carved out his niche with high energy play and fearless shooting from deep. It wasn't just piling on late in many of the blowouts the Falcons recorded. He helped provided haymakers of own in the first half of games, including the State Championship contest. Shooting can change games and Flemons seems to have that in his bag with the confident way he lets it fly. Rather it be off the dribble or as a spot up threat. But it will be interesting to track the development of the rest of his game to judge his proper longterm potential.     Bly is an intriguing prospect to keep tabs on. Quieter freshman year compared to some given he played with Millwood and he's also a football standout. But he has the size and early signs of a skillset that is often coveted by college coaches. Looks to still be growing into his body a bit, but once he physical matures more has the blueprint to become not only a knockdown shooter but also a complete scorer. A 15U summer will help indicate if football or basketball is his more likely next level path. As he'll likely have options in both.
