The first full week of February is coming to a close, meaning county tournaments are getting into gear. The GMC is full of intrigue with the wing group poised to make noise during the state tournament. Here are the wing prospects to track over the course of the GMC Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2201945' first='Andrew' last='Kretkowski'], 6'8 SF St. Joe's Metuchen 2027

Kretkowski has been one of the top prospects in the GMC this season and should continue his high level play over the course of the county tournament. The 6'8 forward explodes off the floor for dunks and can draw contact in the paint. Kretkowski uses his size to see over his defender and rises up nicely on his jumper. He uses his athleticism to make an impact on the defensive end and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Kretkowski partners with [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'] on the perimeter as they look to lead the Falcons to the GMC title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1948970' first='Donald' last='Nwaigwe'], 6'4 SF Piscataway 2026

Nwaigwe has shown the ability to play either forward spot, making him an intriguing prospect to track in the class. The 6'4 forward has a good face-up game as he can get to the rim off the bounce and his range extends out to the three-point line. Nwaigwe can also get position in the post and is an underrated passer. He has the athleticism to defend multiple positions and rips down rebounds at both ends of the floor. Nwaigwe has four 20-and-10 games this season and is looking to expand that number during the county tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2683648' first='Jayce' last='Rodriguez'], 6'3 SG Colonia 2028

Rodriguez is in the middle of a breakout season as he is averaging over 20 points per game this season. The 6'3 guard has a clean shooting stroke and can knock down triples in bunches. Rodriguez can also get into the paint off the bounce and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Rodriguez has the ability to put up points in bunches and should showcase that during the GMC tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919213' first='Albion' last='Ahmetaj'], 6'5 SF St. Thomas Aquinas 2026

Ahmetaj has taken a big step forward this season, averaging nearly 14 points and 11 rebounds per game. The 6'5 forward has a solid handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finishes well around the basket. Ahmetaj can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He uses his size to make an impact on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. Ahmetaj has been a double-double machine this season and should continue to do damage on the glass over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788586' first='Andrew' last='Bena'], 6'5 SF/PF South Plainfield 2028

Bena has the ability to play either forward, making him a prospect to watch this February. The 6'5 forward uses his strong frame to get position in the paint and has a nice touch around the basket. Bena can also put the ball on the floor and is an underrated passer out of the post. He is a solid rebounder and holds his ground on the defensive end. Bena's versatility is something that should help his stock in a big way over the course of the county tournament.
