McKinney is another well-known player from Vashon's storied program who recently picked up an offer from LaSalle, and it looks like this could be the start of a huge recruiting spring and summer for him. His skilled shooting and versatile offensive game have allowed him to lead Vashon this season, consistently performing at his best against the top competition on their schedule. With long strides that cover the floor quickly in transition, he attacks the basket in open-floor situations, making him a handful to deal with when he can play in space.   Defenses are forced to pay close attention to him, which creates opportunities for McKinney to make plays as a passer — he's unselfish and consistently looks to involve his teammates. Anchoring Vashon's defense as the head of the snake, he's a true two-way player, demonstrating the kind of impact that colleges can expect immediately at the next level.     The youngest name on this list, Cann has led University Academy to one of its most successful seasons in recent years, earning an offer from Graceland along the way. What makes him different from other players in the 2028 class is his size and length at the guard position. Coupled with a developing skill set, Cann has the frame and emerging game to draw serious attention as his recruiting journey continues.   Cann is productive on both ends of the floor, but his passion and energy may be his biggest strengths. He finishes around the rim with impressive creativity, whether going up and over defenders or finding ways through traffic, and his developing outside shot adds another dimension to his game. On defense, he's active and disruptive, with a style that not only creates stops but also energizes and elevates his teammates.     Mason has been a key contributor for a Smithville squad that looks to be turning a corner and making real strides this season. He's put together several impressive performances as both a scorer and a playmaker. His recent offer from Kansas Wesleyan comes at a pivotal time for the 2026 guard, who is still looking to add more opportunities as the season progresses.   Mason's ball handling and perimeter shooting have stood out this season, and he's also proven to be a strong contact finisher, consistently playing through bodies around the basket. On top of that, he's one of the better passers in the Kansas City area, operating as a true lead guard who always looks to make the right basketball play and involve his teammates.
