Gunter has had such a special sophomore season at Greensboro Day and is helping lead the charge on one of their best teams in recent memory. Gunter showed us incredible flashes as a freshman but has brought a ton of consistency in his production and winning impact at Greensboro Day who is 34-2 on the season. Gunter has progressed well throughout the course of the season, becoming a more consistent outside shooter and proving he can produce and win in these high level games vs elite competition. Gunter does a great job co-existing beside Marty Giant and they balance the ball handling/PG duties with one another very well. Gunter is still coming into his own as a PG and is showing real progress in that aspect of his game as well. Greensboro Day is hosting Davidson Day tonight in one of the most talent filled games on the NC schedule all season long. Gunter will need to help Greensboro Day execute at both ends of the floor and take over when he needs to as they look to get yet another NCISAA State Championship.

Cody Peck has been in so many big games and now has a chance to win a couple and cement himself as a State Champion at Davidson Day. Peck possesses so much two way versatility as a mobile 6'10' forward with the ability to make outside shots, run the floor, and finish above the rim at a high level. This Davidson Day team has a ton of size and often find themselves in interesting matchups and Peck is the most versatile of their front-court pieces. This should open up a potential mismatch for him to exploit with that athleticism, inside/out skillset, and defensive impact. Davidson Day has had some really good wins this season and is capable of beating just about anybody they face with the talent they have on their hands. Peck helping get the job done for them in this final four game @ Greensboro Day tonight would be huge for him as he's closer towards his college decision to give him momentum into that first summer at the next level.

Newman has had such a special season at Gaston Christian and is simply about as battle tested as it comes in regards to High School point guards. Newman has been playing varsity ball since he was in the 7th grade and it's all culminated into what has become a memorable season for him and his team in so many ways. Newman's blend of scoring, playmaking, and defensive impact make him the total package for this group as he makes them go at both ends of the floor. Newman's improved efficiency from the outside has been something really notable as well as he's hitting 37% from beyond the arc on over 7 attempts per game. The ability to control a game with his eyes and dribble make Newman a next level ready PG that can impact winning with his blend of scoring and playmaking. Gaston Christian is heading across the 704 to battle it out Vs Concord Academy for a berth in the NCISAA 3A title game in what should be an instant classic!

Raper is one of North Carolina's premier shooters but don't let that fool you into thinking he's limited to just hitting jumpers. Raper is a complete backcourt piece with jump shooting being his true calling card as a prospect and what got him on the floor early in his career. On one of North Carolina's best and most balanced rosters, Raper is averaging 14.2 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 3.4 Assists, and 1.7 Steals per game all on 48/45/79 shooting splits. Raper is efficient, productive, and willing to do whatever this Concord Academy teams needs from him on any given night. One of my favorite things about Raper's game is his willingness to take and make big shots at key times of the game. He wants the ball in those situations and relies on his preparation to carry him through to make the shot. Raper makes plays out of ball screens, makes big shots, and is looking to lead Concord Academy to a final four win at home vs Gaston Christian and then eventually an NCISAA 3A state championship this coming weekend.

Bowes is an emerging prospect in NC's 2028 class at Greensboro Day alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2194791' first='Micah' last='Gunter'] and should continue to garner more attention moving forward. Bowes is a very interesting player as he possesses PG skills with the size of a wing forward. He can play inside/out, guard multiple positions, and has a savvy feel for the game that allows him to make plays off the bounce for himself or others. Bowes can make outside shots, attack the rim, and even help run the team from time to time. This Greensboro Day team is having such a special season (even by their high standards) and Bowes fits in with the talent around him while shining in his own way. As some of the talent graduates after this year and Bowes continues to develop, expect a major leap from him over the course of next season but there's no doubt he's going to have some moments for Greensboro Day as they try to get the job done yet again.
