Watlington continues to impress with his play at The Burlington School with his rapid improvement as a full time point guard over the course of this season being what shines the brightest in my eyes. His blend of positional size, vision, and finishing ability make him a weapon in both the half court and open floor. TBS has played a monster schedule in preparation for an NCISAA 2A title run. They're 14-9 through the gauntlet thus far and Watlington is averaging 11.5 Points, 5.9 Rebounds, 6.3 Assists, and 1.4 Steals. He's doing all of that on 43/24/73 splits as well. Despite not being a super efficient threat from beyond the arc, Watlington is able to completely impact the game and hit the occasional shot from deep to keep the defense honest. His playmaking is his calling card and as the outside touch continues to develop, Watlington will only make himself a more and more complete offensive weapon.

Plata has been one of the steadiest PG's in NC's 2027 class over the course of his high school career and this season has been no different. The definitive NCHSAA 1A title favorites are led in large part with the production and playmaking of [player_tooltip player_id='1797957' first='Kobe' last='Plata']. For 13-4 (5-0) Southern Wake Academy, Playa is averaging 15.0 Points, 2.8 Rebounds, 6.6 Assists, and 2.9 Steals per game. He's doing all of that on 61/38/56 splits. Despite being a lower volume distance shooter, he is very very efficient when he does decide to take them. Plata operates with unbelievable control with the basketball in his hands and does a great job using angles to create offense for himself at the basket. Plata continues to prove himself as a producer and a winner at the PG position in NC's 2027 class and should start to see more recruiting interest as Southern Wake looks to embark on a state championship run.

[player_tooltip player_id='2772441' first='Kamauri' last='Manuel'] is another intriguing and versatile backcourt piece in North Carolina's 2027 class. He's got great positional size and athleticism to go with his incredible instincts as a playmaker as he's leading the charge for West Forsyth this season. Sitting at an undefeated 18-0, West Forsyth is having a truly special season. Manuel is averaging 12.5 Points, 5.5 Rebounds, 6.0 Assists, and 2.8 steals. He also boasts a 4.1 A:TO ratio with 54/25/83 shooting splits. Manuel is just a two way force in the backcourt that make sure he keeps this talented and connected West Forsyth roster in control with his play. The athleticism combined with his vision make him a true weapon on the offensive end. That same athleticism + this instincts make him even more of the same. What you get with Manuel is a two way winner at the PG spot.

Williams is a very gifted prospect in NC's 2027 class who has been producing at a high level at Hickory Ridge for quite some time now. Hickory Ridge is 13-5 with a 7-1 mark in league play and Williams is simply doing what he does. In his junior season, Williams is averaging 23 Points, 9 Rebounds, 5 Assists, and 4 Steals per game. Williams is a dynamic shot maker from beyond the arc and in the mid-range. He also does a great job making reads out of ball screens where he has accurate and timely passes, along with possessing the ability to finish at the rim in a variety of ways. Williams just announced he'll be playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2234929' first='1' last='of 1 Elite'] this spring/summer.

Montague has been a key key piece on one of the 919s best teams at Cardinal Gibbons this season. With Gibbons at 17-2 with a 5-1 conference record, they're enjoying one of their best seasons in recent memory. Montague is averaging 12.6 Points, 3.3 Rebounds, 4.7 Assists, and 1.6 Steals per game all on 51/34/82 shooting splits. Montague helps keep Gibbons in control all night long as they run their offense at a really high level. He's capable of scoring from all three levels and going to get a basket for himself when the play breaks down. Montague is scrappy on the defensive end and does a great job using his timing to swing possessions at that end of the floor with steals and taking charges. Walker's ability to run a team and score efficiently is incredibly valuable for a Cardinal Gibbons team with state title hopes!
