The state of Illinois was well represented with top performers on Saturday at the Highland Shootout! Here we look at the prospects that shined in all classes from the state!

[player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (Warren – 2027)

Not surprisingly the most impressive Illinois prospect was the state's top player. Davis showed off his complete game! He was money with the pull up game from both two and three. Does such a good job at stopping on a dime and creating separation to get his shot off. Davis is a lights out shot maker that can really knock them in. He is a shifty ball handler that has burst getting downhill in tight spaces. Killer euro step that he has made one of his signature moves! The pin point passing in the half court and overall leadership continue to prove he is a true floor general while scoring at a high rate. He was also impactful defensively creating steals. He had 33 points (13-25 FG) (6-10 3PT), 6 assists, 0 turnovers, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437519' first='Braylon' last='Walker'] (Warren – 2026)

Walker is a strong and skilled wing that loves to get in the mid-range being able to pull up over defenders knocking in feathery mid-range jumpers getting elevation consistently. Can also stretch it out to three and use his strength at the rim. More than just scorer he boarded well with their big man out while also dishing the rock. Went for 19 points (7-14 FG), 10 rebounds, and 4 dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437525' first='Joel' last='Paasch'] (Warren – 2026)

Paasch is the sharp shooter for Warren. Continued to show that in this game as he got them going with a pair of threes for 6 points and 4 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2469077' first='Tayte' last='Cordova'] (Warren – 2027)

Junior gave them a spark off the bench. Scoop shot, three ball, and got to the line for 7 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='3037102' first='Cashius' last='Collins'] (Warren – 2027)

Collins is a long and rangy wing that emerged at the event as a 6'3” active prospect with bounce. He had 5 points and 3 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2403208' first='Javin' last='Griffin'] (Warren – 2026)

Griffin is a tough guard that was efficient as a shot maker going 2-3 from beyond the arc. Nose for the ball as he was active on the offensive glass for his size. Went for 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552409' first='Gage' last='Peterson'] (Waltonville – 2026)

Peterson brought it for Waltonville in the second half of their victory against Highland. The senior forward brings good positional size being able to play both the three and four. He has a strong frame. What impressed us early in the game was his ability to set others up as he had three nice dishes in the first quarter alone. In the second half he got the jumper flowing with a turnaround in the mid-range along with a couple clean threes. Can score out of the post as well and get on the glass. He had 20 points (9-20 FG), 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383402' first='Jagger' last='Mayville'] (Waltonville – 2027)

Mayviille is a long and lanky four man who opened some eyes of people in the first half. Versatile inside/outside four man who runs the floor, puts it on the deck for scores, and snatches rebounds in traffic. He finished out of the dunker spot and ripped from the mid-range for drives. Big time performance of 19 points (9-14 FG), 10 rebounds, and 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2384747' first='Witten' last='Devor'] (Waltonville – 2027)

Devor is a floor spacing guard that can really shoot the rock. The 5'11” junior guard was 4-7 from beyond the arc for 12 points while also having 3 assists along with 2 steals.

Harrison Scholl (Highland – 2026)

Scholl is a wing at about 6'3” that was the most productive player for the host school. He was most effective getting downhill on strong takes and sweeping layups along with getting to the foul line. Did knock in a couple threes later in the game. He had 15 points (5-15 FG) and 6 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2962335' first='Phillip' last='Jones'] (East St. Louis – 2027)

Jones had a solid game for the Flyers against Principia. The 6'0” scoring point guard has burst with the ball in his hands being able to get downhill for finishes. Solid pull up jump shooter where he knocked in a plethora from beyond the arc and in the mid-range. He had 23 points (10-18 FG), 3 rebounds, 3 dimes, and 5 assists.
