SAN DIEGO — The 35th annual Torrey Pines Holiday Classic drew 80 high school basketball teams from 11 different states. We were at Torrey Pines high school for Monday's action in the National Division and below are the best wings and forwards we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436280' first='Anthony' last='Etheridge'] | 2027 | St. Augustine

Saints lost its best player via transfer in the summer and Etheridge has stepped up to the plate as the primary wing scorer this season. The 6-foot-5 junior is best described as an athletic slashing 4/3 man who uses his quick vertical athleticism and length to cut and score in half-court offense and fill lanes in the open court. Etheridge scored a team-high 15 points in a loss to Torrey Pines.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131790' first='Clayton' last='Grebing'] | 2026 | Mission Bay

Grebing is one of the premier stretch-four type prospects in San Diego which is why Point Loma made it a point to get him committed early. The 6-foot-7 senior is a lethal off-catch shooting threat who is also effective in pick-and-pop action in half-court offense and when trailing the play in transition. Grebing finished with 15 points, including two three-pointers, in a semifinal loss to JSerra.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436297' first='Davey' last='Harris'] | 2027 | Windward

Harris' play over the course of this tournament earned him a couple more scholarship offers to add to the pile he's garnered over the last few months. The junior is one of the most versatile offensive players in the state as his dribble, pass, shoot and play-make skill-set, along with his 6-foot-6 frame and bouncy vertical athleticism make him an intriguing mid to high major prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425651' first='Dayvion' last='Gates'] | 2026 | St. Pius X-St. Matthias

Gates combination of positional size, active rebounding, defensive versatility and ability to knock down the open catch-and-shoot three with consistency were the things that stood out in his 19-point, nine rebound performance. Gates has a next-level ready frame, a smooth handle, good interior footwork on drives and is efficient with his movements and decision-making.

[player_tooltip player_id='2113258' first='Jaden' last='Shoultz'] | 2026 | DeMatha (MD)

Shoultz was the best three-point shooting threat on DeMatha's roster and his four first half triples kept them close in a semifinal matchup against eventual champion Notre Dame. The 6-foot-4 senior wing has deep and consistent range off the catch, is a smart off-ball mover and can sprint into jumpers with balance. Shoultz scored 14 points in the loss.

Jordan Carlson | 2027 | Lake City (ID)

Carlson is a highly skilled perimeter scorer whose catch-and-shoot and off-dribble three-point and mid-range shooting abilities stood out as his next-level skill-set. At 6-feet-7 with a fluid shooting stroke and a high release he can get his shot off over the contested arms of defenders and is a capable off-movement shooter when utilizing pin downs and other screening actions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2916726' first='Tyler' last='Humphrey'] | 2027 | Torrey Pines

We saw Humphrey shoot the ball really well over the spring and summer with his Players Play club team and, while he still possesses that perimeter shooting touch, the Torrey Pines coaching staff is running some things for him to use his size and feel for the game in the paint and in face-up situations. The 6-foot-7 junior showed more confidence in his handle and ability to create pull-up jumpers and at-rim finishes off the dribble. Humphrey finished with a game-high 22 points in a win over St. Augustine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956483' first='Zachary' last='White'] | 2026 | Notre Dame

White is the ultimate glue guy who also has the ability to tkae over a game offensively and defensively when needed. In Notre Dame's semifinal win over DeMatha, White was more of a supporting cast member as he finished with 12 points and nine rebounds with four of those boards coming on the offensive glass and led directly to second chance points for the Knights. White, a San Diego State-commit, was playing in front of many of his future fans and there couldn't be a better skill-set and culture fit with him and the Aztecs.
