While you lock that in, we're shifting our focus to one of the strongest classes in the state — a group that's primed for major movement over the next few years. Hot starts have launched new names into the spotlight, while others are still building toward their breakthrough. This class is far from settled, and the board is already shifting. Here are some of the top risers in the 2027 rankings update.

Luke's rise in the rankings is a very short move, but the biggest one. He moved up a spot to take over the No.1 spot in the 2027 rankings. In fact, he's moved up to a Top-3 player in the state, in my humble opinion, and his numbers back it. Howery looks to be the most complete player in the state as the 6'4 guard made the leap. Through 11 games, he has arguably the best stats in the class as he's averaging 23 points a game as a three—level scorer that defenders just cannot slow down. He's getting to his spots, has taken a jump athletically, and Chap still looks like one of the favorites to win it all. He has also proved to be the team's leading rebounder at 10.3 boards and a willing passer that takes what the defense is giving him at 5.5. assists as well. He's one of 6A's leaders in multiple categories, leads his teams to victories, and takes the crown for the class's top prospect right now. Curious to see how he continues rising.

Windsor charter makes up one of the best scoring duos in the entire state, and once they head into league play, I think that amplifies even more. One of those dangerous weapons over there is a 6'3 combo guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2387536' first='Dayton' last='Long'], who has dominated. Dayton makes a HUGE leap as he jumps into the Top 50 with his stellar play. He's a force on both ends; teams want to get the ball out of his hands, and he's looking to punish. He's putting up 23.5 points and 9.3 rebounds a game. He's protecting the paint, has shown to be a versatile defender, and is one of the intriguing players in the class that not too many know about. We would love to see him come to camp and showcase season, as I feel there's more here than we realize. Huge rankings leap for this standout due to his early play junior season.

Griffin has been one of the top prospects in the 5A/4A Jeffco league and has been tasked with the job of trying to do it all for them to stay competitive. The 6'2 wing has had to handle ball handling duties, step out and play big, and deliver big games to keep them in contests. He's stepped up in every way. He's putting up 19.6 points & 6.1 rebounds a game while also being the focal point that defenses try to slow down. He's exploded for some monster games. He had four 25+ point games, including a 44-point, 9-rebound performance against Hinkley. He's had high volume and usage for the team and has shown that he belongs. He makes a jump in the rankings as a player to keep our eye on.

Strasburg is undefeated on the season and looks to be the team to beat this year. They're a balanced attack, they play the right way, and they play for one another. Their most reliable player is also a 1st Team All-State athlete, [player_tooltip player_id='2257243' first='Brody' last='Hopwood']. Hopwood quarterbacks the team on the hardwood. He has good size at 6'3, he uses his athleticism, and he's very physical. He's putting up an impressive 21.8 points a game, which is both an inside and out attack. He scores in bunches, he battles on the boards (4.8 rpg), and when he's getting too much attention, he is a willing passer that makes the right play. Culture is something that they're pushing hard over at Strasburg, and with him leading the way, I feel they have what it takes to win it all. Solid year for Hopwood, and he makes a huge jump as a result.

Loveland has had some close games and is looking to start league play on the right foot by finishing in those moments. One of their players who has been keeping them in games and having them compete is 6'3 forward, [player_tooltip player_id='2406238' first='Wyatt' last='Harlow']. Wyatt is putting up 16 points and 6.1 rebounds a game. He's finished in double figures in all but one game, has been very consistent, and has been an inside performer. He has 20 3-pointers on the season, has gotten out in transition and finished and has created and attacked mismatches. He's a steady scorer who I feel can up his pay come league play. He makes a significant jump in the rankings and is a player we hope to get more eyes on.

Golden is 8-2 to begin the year and looks like a dark-horse team really ready to make some noise. Their most complete player has been 6'5 standout, [player_tooltip player_id='2496097' first='Zach' last='Orser']. Order makes a rise in the rankings due to his production. The promising forward is putting up a team-high 15.3 points a game. He's made a leap as he's been a sniper from deep and a force inside that teams are having a difficult time containing. He's made 25 3-pointers on the year, he's picked up his rebounding as of late, and is much more actively defensively as well. By the end of the season, I think he will turn plenty more heads. Massive leap into the rankings for him, and he's a player we hope to see this summer and at showcases as well as we believe there's something there.
