Griffin is such a explosive scorer and a player that I feel could turn some heads at a showcase where many have not seen his game but the people in his conference, they know the type of player that he is and how he could impact a game and its the season that the rest of the state needs to be aware and this showcase is the opportunity for that. He put up 18 points a game and was the bright spot for a struggling Littleton spot because Griffin is an aggressive player who wants to score. He finds gaps in the defense, attacks in iso and can get inside and score on smaller guards with ease. He doesn’t shy away from contact and is consistent and this should be him showing that he’s much more than what his record has been. Griffin will likely have another very solid season but now it’s about separating himself, and showing who he is. 

Feels weird saying a player who averages 18.6 ppg is an underrated player. But here we are. He had some HUGE games this year, including exploding for 44 points against Hinkley earlier in the year. He also had 6.2 rebounds to go along with it. He’s 6’1 and talented, and that was on display in his junior seasona and the only thing he’s missing is playing in the summer, getting out to showcases and showing what type of player he is. He also needs to win. He’s a player we hope to see soon as he put up stats that should not have him under the radar and this might be the year that that changes.

Griffin has been one of the top prospects in the 5A/4A Jeffco league and has been tasked with the job of trying to do it all for them to stay competitive. The 6’2 wing has had to handle ball handling duties, step out and play big, and deliver big games to keep them in contests. He’s stepped up in every way. He’s putting up 19.6 points & 6.1 rebounds a game while also being the focal point that defenses try to slow down. He’s exploded for some monster games. He had four 25+ point games, including a 44-point, 9-rebound performance against Hinkley. He’s had high volume and usage for the team and has shown that he belongs. He makes a jump in the rankings as a player to keep our eye on.

Griffin’s quick decision making with the ball has made him a steady playmaker early on for Littleton. At his best attacking the rim off the catch, he is not necessarily a pure lead guard, but instead a very quick decision maker within a couple of dribbles. Comfortable finishing off-balance or euro step attempts around the basket, he has one of the more creative mindsets on attempts at the basket among backcourt names in this class.

Griffin has provided dependable scoring in the paint, comfortable initiating contact around the basket. He has worked to round out his offensive abilities this season, significantly growing his attempts inside the arc in part from the greater aggression. Through his sophomore season with Littleton, Griffin has put up a team high 10.3 points alongside 2.9 assists per game.
