The Tuesday Night Preview and Predictions

We give you the games of the night, a prediction with it and a key player to watch!     5AAAA Buffalo at 3AAAA Maple Grove   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle']. This Buffalo team is the Indiana Football story of Minnesota High School football right now and they don't even have a Mark Cuban! They have an [player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle'] though as the guard just scored 31 to beat Hopkins and he leads the Bison scoring 22 points a game. Buffalo was expected to be 12-1 good... next year! This year? What a story!   Prediction: With all that said, I think Male Grove's talent, size and depth puts a second loss on Buffalo 86-79 but back to Buffalo, they lost to Wayzata by 31 and then bounced back to beat Edina, EP and Hopkins. That's what you call a response.   7AAAA Eden Prairie at 2AAAA Wayzata   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2137323' first='Carter' last='Pulrang']. [player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf'] is having a big season attacking scoring 25 points a game. [player_tooltip player_id='2119596' first='Cooper' last='Fahning'] is following a great 17u season with a 19 point, 11 rebound per game year giving EP scores in the paint. And Carter is a shooter taking advantage of the Yusuf-Fahning offense and hitting shots for his 14 points a game.   Prediction: I think Wayzata is still mad from the Maple Grove loss. They took things out on STMA with a 65 point win and next is EP who is playing well but I think its going to be a 20 point loss.   6AAAA Alexandria at Willmar   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2119642' first='Avery' last='Christensen']. I can't even imagine what Avery and his coaches thought looking at the Mr. Basketball watch list...... "A 12 point per game guy from a five-win team?".... "A guy averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds on a team with a losing record?"...... "A guy scoring 14 points a game on a four win team?"...... Meanwhile Avery, who signed with Northern State, is scoring 25 points a game leading Willmar to a 10-2 record already winning more games this year than they did last year and 2.5x as many games as they won two years ago!   Prediction: Big chance for Avery and Willmar...... but Alex has [player_tooltip player_id='2118495' first='Talan' last='Witt'] back and they already have [player_tooltip player_id='2115657' first='Gavin' last='Roderick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2118449' first='Mason' last='Witt'] scoring 20+ a game, and Willmar doesn't have the horses to pull this upset off. Alex by 22.   Waseca at 8AAA St. Peter   Player to Watch: Alex Korir of St. Peter. The point guard of St. Peter is a three sport standout who had a great football year and is now really getting better as a basketball player. A 5'10 guard that is tough minded, he runs the offense and he pressures teams defensively.   Prediction: St. Peter has more depth, they win by 18. They won the last game 88-58.   9AAAA Prior Lake at Rosemount   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2381968' first='Cullen' last='George'] of Rosemount. This is a senior that has stepped up and given Rosemount another double figure scorer to go with junior [player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2397555' first='Brady' last='Molenaar'].   Prediction: Rosemount has won ten of eleven games, Prior Lake has won eight in a row. Tough to pick one, I think Prior Lake is bigger and deeper but Rosemoount is home. I say Prior Lake 76-74   9A Wabasso at Springfield   Player to Watch: Brayden Guettner. Brayden is a 6'5 senior forward that has his team undefeated and he's had some monster performances. He had 29/5/4 for the Rabbits when he scored his 1,000th point, he beat Sleepy Eye an assist from a triple double and scored 44 points to help his team beat Renville County West!   Prediction: Springfield has won 10 of 11, they are at home, the pressure is on Wabasso who is now ranked, Springfield wins 77-75   Minneapolis North at 10AA Holy Family   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1560786' first='Lexyn' last='Grof']. Grof is scoring 19.9 points a game for a ranked team at 8-3 on the season. And I can guarantee you he is looking at [player_tooltip player_id='2486899' first='J'Marion' last='Sanders'] and his 19.9 points per game for an 8-7 team and thinking...... excuse me? Could be a fun night of motivated players.   Prediction: North has lost six of their last eight games so the home team is the favorite. Fire win 72-62   Chaska at 9AAA Orono   Player to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2401711' first='Alexander' last='Pilakowski']. The Orono junior is the second leading scorer for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] scoring 14 games and having a breakout season.   Prediction: Orono has won four of their last five but Chaska wins by eight.
