[player_tooltip player_id='1858796' first='Ezra' last='Cunningham'] of St. Paul Academy (Sr). SPA is a team we thought might have the best chance at challenging Minnehaha Academy. If they can or can't is another discussion but they are on their way towards better things right now. They have won four of five including a huge win over Blake when Ezra hit a three with three seconds to go to clinch the game. With 23 points and 14 rebounds (23 points is his average) Cunningham put forth a statement game for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1889041' first='Luke' last='Friese'] of Schaeffer Academy (Sr). Luke is a do everything player for his team both scoring and creating. In a win over Alden-Conger, Luke broke the school record with 45 points highlighted by five threes. When he wasn't curling screens to put points on the board, he was dishing out seven assists. Throw in the five steals and this D3 prospect was producing all over.

After a rough start the Hawks having put things together beating Central, Hiawatha, BSM and Providence Academy, a good list of wins. One top performer in the freshman class is [player_tooltip player_id='2908034' first='Owen' last='Johnston']. The freshman shooter is scoring nearly 16 points a game and he just had another 16 point game beating Providence Academy. This is a 60 percent three point shooter so far that is taking advantage of space at every turn, and he just had six assists against Providence.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560433' first='Braxdyn' last='Male'] (Soph) of Esko. This week Esko beat Cherry 71-40 and I figured the girls score was put on the boys site. I was wrong, Esko smacked the top ranked team in Class A. How? Because Braxdyn nearly out-scored Cherry himself with 35 points. He knocked out six threes on ten attempts and 13 of 18 shots overall. Cherry wasn't able to get to him off screens, they couldn't stop him from the drive, they couldn't close out far enough to contest, and couldn't keep him off the glass either (9). Recently had 31 against Hermantown as well.
