Each week during the high school season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin and Zaleski Sports will select boys' basketball teams of the week across the WIAA's five divisions. Here are this week's honored squads.
DIVISION 1 ... MENOMONEE FALLS
Talk about a busy week. Menomonee Falls played four games last week and three of them went right down to the final seconds of the contest. The Phoenix began with a 59-57 setback to Wauwatosa East last Tuesday. Coach Freddie Riley's team then played three games in three days ... beating Messmer 63-62, beating Wauwatosa West 84-83 and then beating Milwaukee Academy of Science 88-70. DIVISION 2 ... McFARLAND
McFarland took a big step forward last week in its quest to win the Badger Small Conference championship as the Spartans registered league wins over Mount Horeb (88-45) and Portage (92-51) to go along with a non-league triumph over DeForest (68-58). Coach Jeff Meinholdt's team improved to 11-1 and takes an 11-game winning streak into Tuesday's conference outing with Edgewood. Junior

The leaders of the Dairyland Large Conference standings, Osseo-Fairchild rebounded from its lone loss of the season two weeks ago with two wins last week.
