The City of Peoria hosted a Saturday shootout at Peoria Richwoods High School featuring matchups between the area's top programs and some of Chicago's premier high school teams. Originally scheduled for December the event was postponed due to a snowstorm and made up this weekend. Below are the results and standout performances from the day.

East Peoria 71, Morgan Park 45

[player_tooltip player_id='2125674' first='Quinton' last='Kitt'] — East Peoria | 2027

Kitt who is a future Illini wing put on a strong all-around showing against Morgan Park. The 6-6 wing scored efficiently from the mid-range, attacked off the dribble against smaller defenders, and showed his expanding perimeter game by knocking down two three-pointers. With added strength and a versatile skill set Kitt continues to look like a steal for Illinois. He led all scorers with 24 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323592' first='Cole' last='DuBois'] — East Peoria | 2027

DuBois provided the offensive spark early drilling four three-pointers and using his quick-twitch athleticism and deceptive speed to keep the Mustangs off balance. He poured in 14 points in the first half then shifted into more of a facilitator role after the break to get teammates involved. DuBois finished with 23 points in a convincing win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734410' first='Jacque' last='Lewis'] — Morgan Park | 2026

Lewis continued the shooting surge he showed over the holiday break connecting on four threes in the loss. A confident perimeter scorer with deep range, Lewis is especially dangerous in transition where he can get his shot off quickly. He finished with 15 points to lead Morgan Park.

Richwoods 59, Kenwood 58

[player_tooltip player_id='2362360' first='Anfernee' last='Moore'] — Richwoods | 2028

With star guard [player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley'] sidelined due to a foot injury Moore stepped up in a big way for Richwoods. The 6'3 forward scored from all three levels knocking down threes and finishing through contact inside. Moore's ability to track down his own misses and score on second-chance opportunities stood out as his quick second jump created problems all game. He led all scorers with a dominant 27 points and 11 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552417' first='Jordan' last='Walker'] — Kenwood | 2026

Walker came out firing hitting four three-pointers in the first half to help Kenwood build a double-digit lead. Richwoods adjusted defensively after the break limiting his shot attempts and slowing his production. Still Walker showed why he's regarded as one of the top senior shooters in the state finishing with 20 points in a narrow road loss.
