These prospects are close to joining the 1,000-point club, which is a true testament to their consistency and ability to bring it every night. Scoring at this level doesn't just happen by accident but takes hard work and trusting in your craft. They're all very close to joining a prestigious milestone that not many players get to reach.

Vanguard school is in a groove and looks like a team that could turn heads and make a deep playoff push, and a big reason for that is their man in the middle, Matty. Matty has been a solid piece who has really turned it on in the last couple of seasons, and now is nearing 1,000 points in only three seasons. What is incredible about his play is he's averaged a double-double since his sophomore season, and in the middle of his señor year he's putting up his best season yet. He's up to 20.6 points and 10.6 boards a game. He's an inside bruiser, he dominates the paint, and is a willing passer who finds the open man. He backs defenders down, counters, and finishes well around the basket. He also turns defense to offense, and he's a few games away from the 1,000 point mark, which I expect to happen right at the end of league play. Solid career for him!

Rangel is a verified bucket, and it's been that way for a few years now. He impacts the game in various ways, plays with full effort, and looks better in each outing that I've seen him. Thing is, he's very confident with he ball in his hands, and is a smooth scorer that brings consistency. He's scored in double figures in all but two games in the last two seasons, he's efficient from the field, and can play both on and off the ball. He's an improved shooter who spaces the floor and gets downhill and scores with ease. He should get to 1,000 points in the next few games and finish off his career as one of Heritage's big scorers. Excited to see what he does to push his team for a playoff run.

Smith is a prospect who has a chance to get to 1000 points scored, but it will take a massive scoring eruption for him to get there. He has to get about 200 points in two months, but with how he's been playing this year, he's capable of hitting that. He's been consistent as a scorer, and right now, with how the team is playing, that would be a bright spot on the season. He's been a consistent bucket for the last couple of seasons, and now he's seeing it all come together and get some attention. He's averaging 18.2 points a game and has had some impressive games. He turned heads when he finished with a career-high 41 points a couple of weeks ago. He's been the best player on the team and has been putting points on the board. He can finish off his career with an accomplishment.

Paine is a prospect who worked his way up, and it's cool how something simply clicked for him. He was not on the same path of just starting and getting big minutes from opening day, but we got to see the growth and his maturation as a player. He made one of the biggest jumps that we've seen from a frigid rotation prospect, going from 5 points a game to 18.7 points and being named to an All-State player. He's followed that up with another solid season of 17.1 points as a senior. The University of Northern Colorado commit has excellent footwork, soft touch around the rim, and he uses his body to punish defenders. He is a force inside and continues to put it on. He now has to continue putting it together and leading his team to wins, but will reach the 1,000-point mark along the way.

Nitzel is the most unknown player on this list, but has been a constant force for this University team since his sophomore season. Now he's finishing up his Senior season by being a complementary piece on a team that has aspirations of bringing home the trophy. In the meantime, he's so close to breaking 1000 points scored in his career. Nitzel is putting together a solid year where it looks like it's within reach, but he will have to stay on the pace that he's on right now. He's sitting at 849 points in his career and is averaging 15.9 points a game. He should hit this mark by the end of the season with his eyes sight on bigger things as well. Have to tip your hat to him.
