Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Smith is a prospect who has a chance to get to 1000 points scored, but it will take a massive scoring eruption for him to get there. He has to get about 200 points in two months, but with how he’s been playing this year, he’s capable of hitting that. He’s been consistent as a scorer, and right now, with how the team is playing, that would be a bright spot on the season. He’s been a consistent bucket for the last couple of seasons, and now he’s seeing it all come together and get some attention. He’s averaging 18.2 points a game and has had some impressive games. He turned heads when he finished with a career-high 41 points a couple of weeks ago. He’s been the best player on the team and has been putting points on the board. He can finish off his career with an accomplishment.

Lake doubled his production from his sophomore to junior year and stepped into the role as the focal point of the offense for Boulder. He was a consistent scorer from all 3 levels, putting up 15.7 points and 3.4 assists a game. He was also the team’s primary ball handler and facilitated the offense as an aggressive playmaker. This season, it will be much more of the same as opposing teams will go in with the mentality of trying to slow him down. He will have to continue to lead the way and find ways to keep teammates involved and making the right play. He uses his athleticism and two-way capabilities. The offense will run through him, and he will be tasked with being the team’s go-to scorer. Think he will be up for the task, and that is why he makes a jump in the rankings.
