In arguably the biggest game of the night, two of the top teams in Class 4A with the 9-0 Carmel Greyhounds hosting the 12-1 Plainfield Quakers. Both of these teams have a legit chance to make a deep postseason run, and the winner of this one was able to grab some huge momentum as the season rolls on. With my fellow Prep Hoops Indiana staff covering other parts of the state, I was able to be at Carmel to witness this high profile game. Here are some player takeaways from this game.

Perhaps the best prospect on the floor during the Carmel and Plainfield game was the Quakers' senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith']. Finishing with 15 points for Plainfield, the DePaul signee was just always there to make a big play with the Quakers needed him to. He did a good job against [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell'], had some strong finishes at the rim, and hit a couple of deep jumpers.

There simply was not a better player on the floor in Plainfield's huge win over Carmel on Friday night than junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands']. He finished with a game-high 24 points scoring all over the place and just had answer after answer to anything Carmel threw at him. He did come up with a lower body injury in the later parts of the game but did come back in to finish off the victory over the Greyhounds.

I think as far as under-the-radar players in the Carmel and Plainfield game on Friday night, [player_tooltip player_id='1561121' first='Jamichael' last='Fountain'] may have been the best of the bunch. The shorter yet very stocky guard made some tough plays throughout the game on both ends of the floor including some big time shots in the earlier parts of the game. In many ways, Fountain is the glue of this Carmel team.

Even though Carmel ended up on the losing end tonight, I don't think there was a player on the floor that made as many big shots as what Vogt did. He ended up with 12 points leading Carmel in scoring getting all of his buckets from behind the arc. The shotmaking senior guard set the tone early and get Carmel a chance at the end.

Being matched up on both ends of the floor against a guy like [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] is never an easy task however, [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell'] held his own tonight without question. The Bellermine signee ended up with 9 points and a whole mess of rebounds. He started to get going in the second half of the game with some soft touches around the basket and monster finishes.
