Fishers Prospects Shine at Highland Shootout

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your annual subscription***</em></a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Top teams came to the <strong>Highland Shootout</strong> over the weekend from all over including Fishers from Indiana.&nbsp; Big time programs and prospects were in the building and Prep Hoops was there to breakdown the players that shined from the Hoosier State!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] (Fishers – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zachary was rock solid at the point with Gardner Jr out.&nbsp; The floor general is a wizard with the ball in his hands being able to create for others with his crisp passing.&nbsp; As a scorer he was at his best shooting from deep draining three triples.&nbsp; Also got after it on the defensive end being very active creating turnovers.&nbsp; In the win he had 11 points (4-13 FG), 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew'] (Fishers – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McGrew looked the part of a mid-major post in this game.&nbsp; The well built four man was physical down low scoring through contact.&nbsp; Also has a nice skill level being able to use shot fakes, put it on the deck, and finish in the pick/roll.&nbsp; Stretched out to bang in a pair of threes as well.&nbsp; Contributed on the boards on both ends as he had 21 points (8-12 FG) (2-3 3PT) and 9 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ethan Hillsman (Fishers – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hillsman is a forward that I got to see play in Illinois quite a bit last year at Joliet West.&nbsp; He has good positional size and plus athleticism.&nbsp; Really impacted in this game on the defensive end where he swatted shots and was flying all over the place putting his physical tools to use.&nbsp; Quality spot up shooter from three as well.&nbsp; He had 10 points (4-10 FG) (2-3 3PT), 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470635' first='Levi' last='Walker'] (Fishers – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Walker is a long and thin guard who had a couple nice plays in the Fishers win getting in the lane for a floater along with draining a pair of threes.&nbsp; Also was scrappy on the defensive end.&nbsp; He had 10 points (3-5 FG) (2-2 3PT), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2385390' first='Max' last='Hopkins'] (Fishers – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hopkins is a 2029 post to watch from Fishers.&nbsp; The freshman wing has broad shoulders and a great frame to work with.&nbsp; Was productive in limited minutes as he was 2-2 from the field for 5 points and 3 rebounds including a put back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2860080' first='[player_tooltip player_id='2375418' first='Tristan' last='']' last='Breland'] (Fishers – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Breland is another freshman who flashed in his time on the floor.&nbsp; Wing with quality size and strength who showed some skill.&nbsp; Lefty had a nice shot fake then attacked a hard close out for a score at the cup.&nbsp; Scored just that basket, but more than belonged in this game with the veterans.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
