The Elite Prep League took their third session to Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA and was one of the most competitive events we've witnessed all year. With four teams from VA, we take a look at part one of some of the standouts from the event.

Hargrave came away with a couple of big wins including a national top 10 win over Western Reserve, where Pendergrass was absolutely fantastic on both ends of the floor. The George Mason commit showed his three level scoring ability hitting fall-aways in the paint and knocking down shots from deep, he attacked the glass hard on both ends and rebounded well in traffic, and he showed a lot of competitive toughness in a matchup against one of the best players in the country.

Hunter continues to lead Hargrave as they have been making statement wins in the national prep landscape over the past month, and he was great running the show and scoring the ball in so many different ways. The 6'2” lead guard pushed the tempo and put pressure on the defense and on the rim at every chance he could, he shot the ball extremely well from deep off the catch and off the bounce, and he was really good pressuring the ball and forcing turnovers for easy buckets.

Carter continues to show he's the unsung hero of this Hargrave group that got their fourth nationally ranked win this weekend, as he took on the challenge of guarding the other team's best player while also providing sufficient offense himself. He did a great job in his matchups including one against top 10 Ant Thompson who he made work for everything he got, he showed his fearless downhill attacking style where he's looking to put it on any and everyone's head, and he made open shots off the ball as well.

Holman comes off the bench for this Hargrave group, but he continues to show that if he was on any other team in the country he'd likely be a starter as he impacted the game in his time on the floor on both ends. The 6'1” guard from Kentucky came out hot in their win over CTA knocking down shots from deep and putting pressure on the defense using ball screens, he flew around defensively jumping passing lanes and recovering for closeouts, and he made plays for others with his vision and playmaking too.

Asare has been extremely good for Highland throughout the season, and that included this weekend where he was their leading scorer and set the table for them on both ends of the floor. Even as a younger guard in an older league he backs down from no matchup and will pick up any guard full court, he showed his shifty ability to create space and make tough shots from multiple levels, and his all-out style of play is able to motivate his teammates to do the same.
