The final piece of content from the 2025 John Wall Holiday Invitational is finally here and for everyone that has been reading along thank you. This tournament is a pressure cooker for all involved and I greatly appreciate everyone's patience in getting all of this stuff out in the midst of other events going on, rankings prep, etc. Without further delay, here are the final batch of standouts from the two championship games!

Moore's athleticism, motor, and versatility were on full display on a massive stage as Greenfield picked up their first John Wall Holiday Invitational Championship in program history. Moore finished with 11 Points, 5 Rebounds, 3 Steals, 3 Blocks, and 2 Assists. He did all of that on 3-5 from the floor, 4-5 from the line, and hit his only attempt from distance on the evening. He's a true multi-positional defender, consistently makes 2nd and 3rd efforts defensively. Moore is comfortable putting the ball on the floor in space and will be a lot better and maneuvering in traffic as he adds bulk to his frame. It's tough to predict exactly who Moore will become, but there's no doubt he's a real prospect to monitor closely for the coming years.

In a game that truly felt like a rock fight, Munir Greig did everything he possibly could for his team in the OT loss to Greenfield. He led a super strong first half effort that gave Coronado a nice cushion heading into the half and found a way to counter once Greenfield found their game late in the 4th. Greig finished with 14 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 4 Assists on 4-7 from the floor. Greig also made all six of his attempts at the free throw line on the evening. Greig's ability to cover ground defensively on the perimeter along with his physical gifts while actually guarding the ball make him a real weapon on that end of the floor. He's constantly putting pressure on the opposing defenders and the rim. Greig's ability to be a real primary ball handler at 6'6" makes him one of the more versatile perimeter players in the class nationally. He does everything you want a player of his size to do on the floor + a whole lot of PG skills blended in with it. Greig will be one of the nations highest recruited players nationally in the 2027 class.

Edwards was simply elite in crunch time at both ends of the floor in the championship win over Coronado. He used his quick feet and active hands on the defensive end along with his playmaking ability on the offensive end to help will his team back into the game and get the job done in overtime. Edwards finished with 20 Points, 6 Rebounds, 3 Assists, and 2 Steals in the win. He was 6-14 from the floor and 7-7 from the line to go with that. Edwards leadership played a major part in the win as well after a rough start from Greenfield, they were able to make the adjustments both philosophically and emotionally to find a way to get the job done. After recently re-opening his recruitment, it will be very interesting to see what [player_tooltip player_id='1280933' first='Kobe' last='Edwards'] next move just might be.

After a slow start from Spire, Head Coach Kevin Boyle made a few key adjustments in the break between the 1st and 2nd quarters along with an early timeout in that 2nd frame. One of those adjustments was putting King Gibson on Beckham Black and that is truly when the tide started to turn Spire's way. The NC native came home for Christmas and showed everyone just how much he's grown up with the job he did defensively to help Spire get the championship win over Southeastern Prep. Gibson also led Spire with 16 Points in the win, showcasing that he's one of the best 94 foot guys in America in the 2027 class. Gibson will continue to shine as a feature perimeter stopper with performances like this stacking up.

Davis looks to be one of the top Point Guards nationally in the 2027 class with his ability to impact winning high level games. Davis has great speed and pace, allowing him to control the game more often than not. He blends playmaking for others with his own offense, staying efficient throughout. Defensively, he has quick feet, stays sound, and makes the opposition work for absolutely everything. In the championship win over Southeastern Prep, Davis finished with 12 Points, 2 Rebounds, and 2 Steals. He was in complete control while initiating Spire's offense in a game where they slowed it down quite a bit but picked their spots in transition brilliantly. It's not super flashy, it might not get a ton of clicks, but David is a real deal winner at the PG spot in 2027.
