He used his length on the defensive end to alter shots and has great timing using his windshield wiper blades arms. He grabbed a few rebounds and was in passing/driving lanes to gather steals. Federico also really does a good job of lulling defenders to sleep on the attack and uses his lack of quickness to his advantage. His ability to play on the block is one of his most underrated skill sets. At times it didn't really seem like he was too confident to start the game, but once he realized that he could slow the game down, everything then started to fall into place for the sophomore he had 17 points with two three-pointers. I want to see him work on getting in the weight room and adding more muscle to his frame so he can finish and contort his body through contact and traffic. He is going to have to learn how to become an alpha dog because at most points of the game, I felt like he was the best player on the floor. He just didn't see it in himself till the later stretches. Like how he keeps progressing over time and should start to see it click sooner rather than later.

Semplice is a physical downhill thumping guard, who uses his physicality to run you over. He converts easy buckets inside regularly. Semplice had 15 of his 23 in the 2nd half which was huge for CV's momentum. He was able to score playing with his back to the bucket. Semplice also made a handful of shots at the foul line. He's a tweener and is stuck between a few positions which can hurt his long-term ability at the college level due to his lack of size and he's probably more of a 3/2 then he is a point guard or combo guard because of that. I am unsure who he is consistently guarding at the college level. His lack oSemplice would be a good small college fit and could see a lot of time if he adds those pieces to his game in his career.

[player_tooltip player_id='2534566' first='Damar' last='Johnson'] kind of started off slow, but in the ladder stretches of the game was a catalyst for Lincoln Park on offense. His quick first step was seen frequently being able to blow by defenders and live in the pain. He sought out contact which let him get to the charity stripe and connected on most of his chances from there. He also shows the ability to score from behind the arc and was able to connect on two threes. He can make a shot from deep but I don't think he's a sniper from behind the arc. Johnson was also able to find teammates for a scoring chance of their own. I feel like at times since he does play a multi-guard lineup he can get lost with all the guys on his team who all need to have the basketball in their hands. Looking forward to tracking his development over the next few

Really liked Frye's versatility, he was a threat offensively to score the ball inside and out. He provided a spark as a secondary scorer and chipped in 12 points in the loss. Frye is a hard guard due to his strength and ability to move. He has extended range from behind the arc. He has a good feel for the game. I feel that he is a budding 3-D man but also shows flashes as a face-up undersized four man. I like how he can play at different gears and exploited mismatches. His ability to be a willing defender is one of his better traits and is able to use his reach to alter shots.

Slizik provided a spark as a glue guy doing whatever was needed for his Chartiers Valley squad. He has no issue sacrificing his body for the good of the team on defense. He tallied five points in the win. Slizik should see some traction at the small college level.

Best is a gadget man who provided a spark as a scorer and added 15 points in the win. He scored two threes and is a capable shooter from deep. Having a quality player like Best come off your bench and give your team big minutes like he did is always good for the teams success. Best's agility allows him to cover ground with ease on the defensive end of the floor.

Woods play was really impressive and left a long lasting impact on the game. He made a ton of hustle plays on the offensive end which kept possessions alive. Woods had great touch around the bucket. I liked how he was able to operate out of the mid and high post. He sought out contact on the attack and lived at the charity stripe. Woods moves well on his feet and is effective rolling to the rim. He found ways to alter shots on defense. Woods had a team high of 18 points. I like how he stays within his game and doesn't try to do too much. Looking forward to monitoring his development.

Chartiers Valley was able to get a big section win on the road Wednesday night.
