The Sophomore Class is making their impact, statewide. The class as a whole is very good and very talented. There is talent at every position and a lot of size, too. This particular update has a decent amount of movement in the rankings and there will likely be more as time passes with this group. Here's a look at the updated 5-10 in the 2028 class.

Jordan is an explosive athlete who plays really hard. He has to continue developing his skill level but Jackson has come a long way over the last 2 years and is still trending up. While he's a really efficient scorer, Jackson is maximizing his opportunities for the Tigers and, in my opinion, is the true X factor in the 7th region title chase.

Brady is one of the most productive players in this class as a whole. When it comes to getting things done, Orem is capable of 20 and 10 every night out for Great Crossing. He's also posting shooting splits of 59/39/74 and getting to the free throw line consistently every game.

Everett is one of the most intriguing players in the Sophomore class and has some serious potential. Averaging 14 points per game, Stuart is using improved strength to get more effective at attacking the rim and finishing through contact. In order to take the next step in his development, Everett needs to become a more active rebounder at his size.

A strong guard who excels at getting into the paint and scoring the ball, Akins is a lefty who can get to the rim early and often. Ryder is a skilled player who can get paint touches or step out past the three point line and knock down shots consistently. With several early D1 offers, Ryder is a hot name with colleges already.

Madison Central is probably the best team in Kentucky right now and the addition of Grayson has made them serious state title contenders. Burton is quietly putting together a HUGE high school career and has been starting varsity for several years at this point. Grayson is averaging 18 points per game this year and has provided a really good second or third scoring option for the Indians in their pursuit of a state title.
