We run you through several candidates that should be next up for a division one offer in the state of Minnesota.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126128' first='Isaiah' last='Asuma'] of Cherry. Isaiah is pushing his way into the top ten players AND prospects in the state and I think he just might be the next ball handler in Minnesota to be wanted by a division team as their future point guard. I would be stunned if nobody in the Summit wanted to add Asuma with his character, leadership, first step, strength, and skill to their 2027 class. He opened the season with a 29-11-12 triple double and just had a 37 point game against South Ridge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin'] of Edina. Cronin has all the physical tools: he has bounce, lateral agility, runs well, stands 6'7 and has wide shoulders that can add a lot of strength without messing with his agility. He also had a 19 point showing in the opening night blowout against Park Center (but five fouls in about seven minutes total in the Farmington loss). All the physical tools are there and when the consistency comes so will the next level of opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126118' first='Tyler' last='Forrest'] of Chaska. Tyler has so many of the basketball IQ tools that you want in your leader. He is tough, a great passer, plays hard and makes sure his teammates are always shooting in comfort. The Hawks are 2-1 so far this year and Tyler is averaging 20 points, six rebounds and five assists through those three games. Scholarship player for sure, and if the three point jumper is there, the higher the level of offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560839' first='Xavier' last='Frelix'] of Hopkins. The top unsigned/uncommitted player in the state's senior class, Frelix is one of the best shooters in the state. The kind of shooter that colleges bring in because he is close to being called special in that regard. Playing on one of the state's top teams and should have many chances to knock out open threes playing with [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'].

[player_tooltip player_id='2404942' first='King' last='James'] of Hiawatha Collegiate. Physically it's all there for James. He is one of the most explosive finishers at the rim that I have seen since I have been following Minnesota high school basketball in 1992 in middle school. Not just explosive with the bounce but powerful which also helps James be a top rebounder as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] of Tartan. Oyesanmi has a lot of tools. He is 6-foot-4 with length and room to continue to get taller and longer in legs and arms. Emmanuel is also a very good athlete and a skilled player at his size which gives him the potential to be a very good two way wing. Averaged 11 a game as a freshman.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126447' first='Briggs' last='Sheridan'] of Farmington. Briggs might actually have the best chance at multiple options when it comes to players on this list. He stands 6'9/6'10 in the post with the type of face up skill that schools love because it came make him a pick and pop big, a stretch big, and a back to the basket player. The potential for versatility is there, he just needs to take the next step towards consistency as a top player this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] of Tartan. Wilson was the Freshman of the Year in Minnesota last year and when it comes to production and talent, he is the best Sophomore in the state without question. His performance against Hopkins was memorable (and to be continued soon when they restart that game!) and it was done with the Gopher staff watching. A special guard that needs to physically mature (get stronger) and when that happens the floodgates could open. The game is there.
