The rare Wednesday game puts a team in the spotlight along with it's players. Who stood out on a Wednesday? We give you our five!

[player_tooltip player_id='2126472' first='Owen' last='Counce'] of Osseo. After a tough opening night loss to St. Louis Park, the Orioles bounced back to beat Minneapolis Southwest 78-67 on the road. Counce, a playmaking junior, had a game high 25 points using his quickness and efficient play to lead his team to the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124212' first='Jaylen' last='Goergen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2119654' first='Quan' last='Stewart'] of Tartan. There are a lot of Tartan headliners but I think what makes the team a title contender is their backbone, their depth. Goergen and Stewart are those experienced players that make up that depth and backbone. They had 14 points each as the Titans ran by Harding quickly 101 to 24. Goergen is a versatile player while Stewart is a fantastic athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569233' first='De'Anthony' last='Sells'] of St. Cloud Apollo. After scoring 36 points in the opener in an eye opening win over Bemidji, Sells had 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 12 point win over Coon Rapids. The 6'6 junior is one of the biggest names of the fall and his prospect rise continues.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417301' first='Hunter' last='Vinkemeier'] of Le Sueur-Henderson. Hunter is one of the junior bigs we are really high on and we think he is going to have a big year although he has a lot of new faces around him. It didn't seem to matter though when the Giants took out WEM 77-62. Hunter played like a giant too scoring 36 points with four threes plus he grabbed 20 rebounds and dished out five assists.

Kiernan Wymore of Coon Rapids. While the Cards lost, they surely gave Apollo a bigger fight than expected and Wymore, a senior captain, has continued to play at a level that really has caught the eye. It's not a total surprise because the lighting quick guard had a great fall league but to see Wymore carrying those over into the season is good to see. He had 30 points last night versus Apollo.
