One of the top 2027 prospects from the southeast district, Smith is already a leader on a Leesburg Fairfield squad that has a strong winning record the past handful of seasons. Smith is an excellent perimeter shooter and averaged a team-high 16.4 PPG as a sophomore. Already with 40 wins during his first two seasons with Leesburg Fairfield, the Lions have hopes of competing for conference and regional titles with Smith leading the charge. A name to watch out for in the class of 2027 from southeast Ohio.

Moeller has a rich tradition of sending players to the college level and with so much young talent, having an experienced decision maker at the point guard position is very valuable resource for the Crusaders this season. McQueen can be that player as the 6'0 combo guard can play on or off the ball next to [player_tooltip player_id='2885759' first='Bubba' last='Donald'] and prevent turnovers. McQueen was a prospect who first got on our radar helping lead his All Heart Basketball team to the 15 U championship and has since made his name known on the Made Hoops Circuit with Midwest Cincy MHC. Look for McQueen to be a popular guard among small college programs this upcoming summer.

Another southeast Ohio name, Cox is a smooth wing guard who has become a leader on a Chillicothe team that went through some ups and downs last season but could be a team that takes a big step forward into conference title contention alongside Miami Trace and Jackson in the FAC. Cox had a steal and breakaway slam dunk in their season opening win over Bloom Carroll and also made some nice passes out of ball screens. The lefty wants to get to his dominant hand to finish at the rim and does a nice job of using spins and crossovers to get to that point. A name to know in southeast Ohio's 2027 class.

The last prospect from this article comes out of Mason high school. Wortham was one of the more impressive guards in the Midwest Fall League in Cincinnati and does a nice job of using his quick first step to get to the basket. Playing a heavy role on a Mason team that is looking to surprise some folks in the GMC, Wortham will have the opportunity to show off his athleticism in a conference filled with athletic guards. Look for Wortham to increase his scoring averages this season as he continues to get comfortable under a new coach.
