Top Available Prospects Following Early Signing Period (Part 1)

With the NCAA's Early Signing Period coming to a close, here is a look at some of the state's top 2026 prospects who are still available for college coaches to recruit this season.    The Central Gwinnett HS product is averaging 15.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in the early part of the season for the Black Knights. The combo guard is had a big spring/summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2433307' first='Atlanta' last='Celtics'] and garnered interest from a variety of Division I and II programs. As a secondary ball handler and playmaking, Lawton uses this strength and offensive skill to score at all three levels.     The lead guard for the back-to-back state champion Titans is one of the most reliable point guards in the state. Bracco has a high basketball IQ, is a reliable decision maker and is a solid open shot maker. Bracco checks a lot of boxes for college coaches in search of a point guard in the 2026 class.     Bracco's teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2880582' first='Luke' last='Lawson'] is another skilled prospect for Head Coach Rick Rasmussen who college coaches are becoming more familiar with. The 6'9 forward has inside/outside scoring ability at the offensive end and plays with a high motor. Lawson has one of the best games of his career with 10 points and 18 rebounds against Winder-Barrow last week.     The Marist School senior has had a fast start to his final season with the 5-2 War Eagles. Walsh is a skilled forward who can play multiple positions. He is a reliable open shot maker and is athletic and strong enough to make plays in the rim and be effective on the glass. The senior also has a good feel for the game and is a willing and capable passer.     Melancon is the ultimate glue guy that does things at both ends of the floor to help his team win games. Whether it's scoring, defending, rebounding or making plays that don't appear on the stat sheet, the Dutchtown product affects winning. Hold current D1 and D2 interest, Melancon increased aggressiveness at the offensive end will likely lead to more interest from college coaches.     Maybe the prospect with the highest upside remaining in Georgia's 2026 class, Curtis continues to improve with every evaluation. The 6'11 center moves well for his size, can make a midrange jumper, has decent hands and can change shots on the defensive end. Combine that with a high motor and a willingness to learn, and you have a prospect that will continue to trend up.     Curtis' teammate with the Red Elephants and on the Under Armour circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2076604' first='Atlanta' last='Xpress'], point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2046362' first='Kevin' last='White'] is a name I keep being asked about from the college coaches in search of a lead guard. White is very quick and very good with the basketball. He is a capable open shot maker and sees the floor and is able to find teammates. The senior is a big reason Gainesville finds themselves at 8-0 to start the season.     Pace Academy's improving big man can stretch the floor at the offensive end with shooting range out to the three point line. Agolli also has touch in the paint to go along with improving mobility and athleticism. The senior has taken visits to some of the top academic institutions in the country and will be a player to keep a close eye on during his college career.
