PUMA Pro16: GA Top Performers

The PUMA Pro 16 circuit continued Sunday in Tulsa with another loaded day of competition featuring three of Georgia's top travel programs competing in the Pro16 division. We got a chance to see 4:44 Athletics, Team Scoot, and OTP, three programs loaded with college level prospects. Here is a look at some of the top performers and stock risers from Sunday's action.    Wray was outstanding in Sunday's win over PAC and continued to solidify himself as a 2027 prospect trending in the right direction. The junior shot the ball extremely well from beyond the arc while also showing his ability to initiate offense and control secondary ball handling responsibilities. Possessing good positional size, length, and above average athleticism, Wray impacted the game in multiple ways offensively and consistently made smart plays with the basketball in his hands. His combination of shooting ability, versatility, and physical tools continues to make him an intriguing long term prospect.     Rowe is a high level athlete who consistently played above the rim and around the basket throughout the weekend in Tulsa. Outstanding in transition and extremely dangerous in open space, he puts constant pressure on defenses with his explosiveness and ability to attack downhill. Rowe is very difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint and also showed flashes of midrange shooting ability to complement his athleticism. In addition to his offensive production, he was active on the glass and brought strong energy defensively. With his athletic tools, motor, and defensive upside, Rowe has the potential to become an outstanding defender at the next level.     The big man from Augusta continues to show steady improvement and upside as a frontcourt prospect. On Sunday, he scored 10 points while consistently showing the ability to score over his left shoulder in the post. Sherman plays with good strength, continues to improve his touch around the rim, and is becoming more comfortable offensively around the basket. His mobility is also trending in the right direction, allowing him to impact the game more effectively on both ends of the floor. With his size, athletic tools, and developing skill set, Sherman projects as a lob threat and rim protector at the college level.     Matthews continued his strong spring with another impressive performance in Tulsa. The junior combo guard is an aggressive scorer who consistently puts pressure on defenses with his ability to attack off the bounce. He possesses good positional size and above-average athleticism, allowing him to impact the game in multiple ways offensively and defensively. Matthews is a capable ball handler and creator who can generate offense for himself, while also showing the ability to knock down perimeter shots consistently. Defensively, he stays active and competes with energy, adding to his value as a versatile backcourt prospect.     Another prospect trending upward in the 2027 class, Winters turned in another impressive performance for OTP in Sunday's win. The junior is an offensive minded scoring guard who consistently creates his own offense and puts pressure on defenses with his ability to score at multiple levels. Winters possesses good size and length for the position, is a capable perimeter shot maker, and has the athleticism to attack off the bounce and finish plays. He also showed the ability to handle secondary ball-handling responsibilities, adding versatility to his offensive game and overall value as a backcourt prospect.
