A slower week for myself as I attended both an NBA and NCAA Division III game this week which left only Tuesday and Friday for OHSAA contests. In this article I'll break down the standout performers from Fort Loramie @ Versailles and Springfield @ Springboro.

One of the top small-town guards in Ohio, Ahrens is an elite passer and athlete who moved at a different speed than anybody else on the court Tuesday night. Able to change paces with ease, Ahrens was able to blow past players in transition while also slowing down, taking contact and finishing at the rim. Combine those skills with the exceptional passing ability that allows him to fire passes across the court and Ahrens is an extremely tough cover. If Ahrens starts to shoot the 3-pointer with more confidence, he has a chance to come in and play right away at the scholarship level.

A stretch forward with a beautiful looking shot, Stonebraker showed off his outside-inside versatility on Tuesday night with a couple jumpers that looks clean out his hands and also some easy finishes in the paint thanks to his height advantage over everybody on Fort Loramie. If Stonebraker can get a little tougher and dominate the glass on both ends of the court, Versailles will win a ton of games in the MAC this winter because their talent, depth and defense will carry them in a lot of match-ups.

It's rare to see a freshman make a big impact in such a physical league like the MAC but Eilerman came off the bench and played heavy minutes for Fort Loramie. With a solid body for his age, Eilerman wasn't getting pushed around on either end of the court. Showing some flashes as a ball handler, Eilerman showed some offensive skills that should continue to sharpen over the years. Scoring a couple times off drives to the paint, Eilerman looks like a wing forward who can play a role today for Fort Loramie but also could be in contention for first team all-conference honors as an upperclassman.

It's very early in the season and Springfield Vs Springboro brought one of the best atmospheres and endings of the young season. Rice was showing off his athleticism by playing above the rim with a putback slam dunk and a breakaway slam dunk on a defender's head. A strong forward who protects the rim, Rice had three blocks to go along with his 14 points. Maybe Rice's most impressive skill finish of the game was a lefty layup off a spin move past a defender. Springfield has a nice mix of senior talent to go along with a trio of freshman who all saw playing time at the varsity level on Friday night. Fun team to monitor in the GWOC this season.

A brand new name for myself, Doliboa stood out in the first quarter with a pair of 3-pointers off the catch. Having a fast start to his sophomore season, Doliboa is averaging 15 PPG and shooting 42% from 3-point range through two games. Whenever a player at his size has the production and shooting ability he immediately becomes a player to track for the next level and Doliboa is a name I'll be closely following from the Dayton area over the next few years.
