Haynes, a junior guard out of Brookline High School, pumped in 38 points in an impressive 87-56 win over Portsmouth. The 5'11" guard also added 10 assists and 7 steals in one of the more impressive wins of the early season. A blur in transition, Haynes has the ability to get wherever he wants on the floor off the bounce. He's a crafty finisher around the rim, can make shots from behind the arc, and does a great job of making life difficult for opposing ball-handlers in space.

Lopez, a senior guard out of Central Catholic High School, posted back to back standout games at the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic, tallying 26 points in Game 1 and 31 points in Game 2. Arguably the MIAA's top scoring guard, Lopez does a terrific job of using his frame to his advantage, showing the ability to get to his scoring spots off the bounce and to finish through contact in the paint. He plays with patience, has a good feel for the game with the ball in his hands, and doesn't shy away from the big moment as a scorer.

Beatty, a sophomore guard out of Archbishop Williams High School, had a dominant performance in an early season win over Bishop Feehan, dropping 30 points in his team's victory to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The lefty is a dynamic ball-handler that has some real wiggle off the bounce, showing the ability to create space to get into his finish and facilitating game. He has the ability to make shots from behind the arc, but thrives as a slasher that can finish tough plays around the basket.

Carey, a senior forward out of Amherst Regional High School, has gotten off to a hot start this winter, hitting double digits in all four of his team's games so far, including passing the 20-point mark on two occasions. On opening night, against South Hadley, he pumped in 26 points, including 5 made three pointers. A big, physical wing that plays with above the rim athleticism on both ends of the floor, he's really evolved as a scorer witht the ability to get it done at all three levels. On the other end, he's disruptive in space and does a great job of turning defense into transition offense.

Brigham, a senior guard out of Pope Francis High School, has been on a roll so far this winter, averaging over 21 points per game through five outings. He has a single game high of 27 points and hasn't scored less than 18 in a game this season. Brigham is a big guard that does a great job of scoring around the rim, showing toughness and creativity as a finisher. He's able to score in the mid-range and from behind the arc and shows an understanding of how to get to his scoring spots both as a ball-handler and off ball mover. He's arguably the top scorer in Western Massachusetts this year.
