Mayhem on Military Underclassmen Guard Standouts Vol.1

The Mayhem on Military event showcased a remarkable group of underclassmen guards who are quickly making a name for themselves on the high school basketball scene. From explosive playmakers to crafty scorers, these young athletes demonstrated exceptional skill, poise, and leadership well beyond their years. This series highlights standout performances and potential future stars, offering a glimpse into the next generation of talent destined to shape the game.   Scouting Note: One of the Top freshmen in the area, [player_tooltip player_id='2981285' first='Yusuf' last='Zaid'] from Landon School did not participate in the Gonzaga game due to an illness. The plan is for Yusuf to play this week.    Elijah is sucha weapon with his overall offensive game. Creative off the bounce, quick release from outside, and strong handles to keep his defenders guessing. Can really fill it up and scary thing is, I think there is more potential left in his game. Elijah showed his smooth, crafty shot-making ability throughout the Gonzaga game. Lethal marksman who consistently hits shots off the catch or bounce. Fills it up from distance but more than comfortable attacking and finishing or creating for others. Finish the game with 18 (8-16 2FG | 2-5 3pt FG) points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Elijah is a name to most definitely keep tabs on going forward!     McLinton is an interesting prospect and certainly is developing into one of the better guards in 2028 class. It was a bit quiet this summer, but I believe that he has a chance to rise the ranks with yet another strong varsity season at Bullis School, proving his talent once again the game against Jackson Reed scored 8 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1TO. McLinton is one of the most explosive and athletic guards around, flying high and finishing strong at the rim. It is where he thrives, but he is also much more than that, as he has improved in several areas with his shot-making, playmaking, and ability to bring value in other areas. Kevin McLinton's possesses high-level poise, ability to score from all three levels & his vision all stood out in the game. Look for Kevin McLinton recognition to continue to take shape for the next 3 years.     Legit national-level prospect. Incredibly fluid, explosive athlete with the ability to finish with power or space the floor as a shooting threat. Showing useful ball skills and quality defensive prowess. Just has a natural feel with the ball in his hands. Excellent scorer off the bounce and from outside, strong playmaker, makes the right decision on the court, and simply gives a gifted overall feel. Xavier possesses the college level plug n play size and skill set. Scored 24 points on 6-15 shooting, 7 rebounds and 2 steals.     Continues to be a player for schools to watch. 6'6, long length, smooth shooter off the bounce and catch, crafty in getting to the basket, and can knock down shots from outside. With the high school season starting it looks like Isaiah finish the game with 13 points on 4-7 2FG & 2-4 3FG, 5 rebounds and 1 steal.     Judah is extremely fun to watch on the court. Playmaking point guards with flare, but plays with a high IQ, vision, and a strong creator with the ball in his hands. Love his overall feel in so many ways.” Produces every time I see him. Stat Line against Clinton Grace finish the game with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.     Such a poised, intelligent floor general as a freshman. Showed in his official first varsity game. He displays a tight handle with amazing pace, vision, and change of direction. The southpaw is effortlessly getting wherever he wants off the bounce and making the right play with consistency. Dyan has the potential to continue the Gonzaga tradition of having Division 1guards come out of their program. In 20 minutes of play against Landon School Dylan finish the game with 11(4-7 2FG |1-3 3FG) pts, 3 assists, 2rebounds, 1 steal and 1 TO.
