He plays with a confidence and a moxie that just can't be taught. To watch a sophomore, in a game that features 2 of the best rosters in the state, to throw haymakers back and forth from beyond the arc - it's a thing of beauty. Let's not forget that he can also handle and attack against the best defenders statewide.

The box score will never sum up [player_tooltip player_id='2758903' first='Jayce' last='Goff']'s game and in-game contributions. He's poised and smart with the ball. Goff sees the ball in his hands a good amount, but I'm not sure if I remember a turnover last night. And the young man is tough. I saw him put his backside in an opposing post player and drive him back to nearly the 3 point line on a box out.

I have no idea what Wilson's numbers look like from last night, but I don't need to. He's slick with the ball and seems to pick and prod and look for his chances. This really keeps the defense at bay because the help needs to be consistently and constantly ready. If they aren't, he can and did make them pay.

Grays Jr. made his return in successful fashion. He heated up at 1 point against Rockford. When Grays starts feeling his game, really opponents just have to mitigate the damage because not much can be done. Grays looks stronger physically which is a dangerous thought for future defenders.

Morrish was really impressive in Hartland's win against DeLaSalle. He showed that he could score in a variety of ways. He hit catch and shoot 3's and was also able to attack and score from the line. Morrish played really smart basketball. I loved 1 possession when followed a post seal and finished with a layup.

There wa a ton of high quality basketball being played in Hazel Park High School yesterday. This will be our second look at parts of our player evaluations from Monday afternoon and evening.
