Friday the day after Thanksgiving PH NorCal was at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland California for the Thanksgiving Showcase. It was a 2 day event, we were there for 6 games on Friday. These are the standout players from the winning teams

[player_tooltip player_id='2859059' first='Rhys' last='Crawford']: He's a do it all player on this team, he rarely leaves the court. Standing 6'7 he had multiple ways of converting baskets including transition dunks, and off two feet under the rim. He dropped a couple of mid-range, and short corner jumpers. He works well from the high to mid post using one or two dribbles to get closer to the rim, using a jump hook at times. He's an active rebounder, uses his length to go after blocks. He finished with 26 points in the overtime win. At 6'7 his handles can use some sharpening in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2613096' first='Baron' last='Sabir']: He's off to a good start, averaging 30 points in two games. This game he scored 31 points in different ways. He's a bit streaky shooting 3's, if he gets into a rhythm, he'll drop a few well behind the 3-point line. He's a long 6'4 player with the handles, he can go get his own buckets, weaving through defenders, challenging shot blockers, and scoring in traffic. He'll help rebound, he's underrated as a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2836474' first='Ryder' last='Daniels']: He's a speedy guard, there's some smoothness to his ball handling skills. he sees the court, for passes up and around the perimeter, he has ball movement. He can create his own shot opportunities attacking from different angles, sometimes putting it high off the glass. He's fast filling lanes for transition layups, or pushing it up with the dribble. He squares up, has range to drop 3's from different spots, corners, wings, and transition. He has the footspeed to stick, and stay in front of ball handlers, and quick hands to generate steals, and turnovers. 15pts, 4a, 3stls, and a block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brendan' last='Williams']: One of the top bigs in an ever increasing crowd of NorCal 2028 post prospects. Like most he's still developing his offensive skills for the position. He's a go to player on this team, whether it's passing, or making quick moves without hesitation to score. He has presence on the defensive side of the ball. He's a shot blocker, and a shot changer. He's hauling in rebounds, making the effort to run the court. He's still building muscle, polishing up his post moves. He's a double, double at this level. A DI prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952322' first='Isaiah' last='Dotson']: The 6'4 Freshman had a coming out party. He entered the game made his presence felt right away. He plays with energy, but settles himself. They put him up top and extended defenses using his foot speed, and length for traps and ball pressure. He has some offensive tools, he'll sharpen moving forward. He drove the baseline, used a dribble or two for mid-range and paint jumpers. He's a ball mover, cuts/slashes without the ball. He'll rebound, push and pass. He's off to a good start.

[player_tooltip player_id='2093077' first='Jasen' last='Davis']: Standing around 6'4, Davis has the body size to do multiple things on the court for this team. He can hit 3ptrs, has a good release. He plays high post, hits the elbow jumper, and finds shooters. He has the body to play physical, go inside, get wide on the low block, or come across the lane to get buckets. He got rebounds, had a couple of assists. He had 12-points, dropped a couple of 3's.

[player_tooltip player_id='2547159' first='Noah' last='Trammell']: He's a long wiry wing prospect that continues to build his all around game. The 6'7 wing is comfortable spotting up around the perimeter for 3-point shots. He scored 19-points, dropped a couple of 3's, used his dribble for mid-range jumpers, and a spin move that got him to the rim staying on balance. He's made an effort to get more rebounds, and defend from perimeter to post.

[player_tooltip player_id='2509663' first='Kaiden' last='Gibbs']: A solid body with good lift, received a lob dunk. He's looking to have a breakout Senior season. At 6'4 he was strong going up off two feet with good explosion for points and rebounds in the paint. He was effective from the high post, using his dribble to take it strong to the rim in traffic. He has the strength and leverage to defend and score in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id='2509666' first='Naasir' last='Griffin']: The 6'5 Senior is working under the radar. He continues to show he has the ability to generate buckets in different ways. He's a solid body, strong on the dribble drive, goes up high and strong finishing through contact at the rim, he might dunk on somebody. He's a rebounding guard, can go coast to coast, or bring it up setting the offense at times. He's a willing passer, has movement without the ball. He has the footspeed and size to defend from perimeter to post. He was Player of the game.
