All-Basketball Football Team: Offense

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your annual subscription***</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For over a decade now we have released our All Basketball Football Team on football National Signing Day!&nbsp; This is a historic crossover class where there are so many true two sport stars that will be up and down this roster.&nbsp; There are several players still that we have to “project” as football prospects in our hypothetical roster.&nbsp; One qualification to be on this list is you have to be a legit basketball prospect we have covered playing hoops.&nbsp; Without further ado here is our <strong>2025 All Basketball Football Team Offense</strong>!&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB – [player_tooltip player_id='2751256' first='Archie' last='Goewey'] (Centralia)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Goewey is one of the top 20 basketball and football recruits in the Illinois 2028 class.&nbsp; He is a big time QB that will have plenty of weapons to throw to.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB – [player_tooltip player_id='1552475' first='Marquis' last='Clark'] (Whitney Young)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top back in the football 2026 class is from Whitney Young.&nbsp; We are going to put their star guard at our running back.&nbsp; Clark is a strong bodied guard that weaves in and out of the defense which bodes well for a lead back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB – [player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (Warren)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The best prospect in the state Davis will be our change of pace back.&nbsp; Quick, shifty, and would be an excellent pass catching option.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR – [player_tooltip player_id='2105355' first='Davon' last='Grant'] (Dekalb)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grant is headed to Illinois as a wide receiver, but was also a legit hoops prospect.&nbsp; One of the most athletic and best dunkers in the state over the last few seasons!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR – [player_tooltip player_id='1845350' first='Stephen' last='Brown'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is set to sign with NC State today for football.&nbsp; He is also a top 10 basketball prospect who will play a big role in Marist run at a state title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR – [player_tooltip player_id='2877491' first='Marshaun' last='Thornton'] (Mt. Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thornton is a superstar at wide receiver!&nbsp; He is the #1 pass catcher in the 2028 class and a nationally ranked player.&nbsp; Also played with the Fire this summer and will be a good player for Mt. Carmel on the hoops side.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE – [player_tooltip player_id='2323267' first='JC' last='Anderson'] (Mt. Zion)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Anderson was a standout for Mt. Zion on their basketball team the last two season leading them to the final four as a sophomore and another great season a year ago.&nbsp; One of the best tight ends in the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE – [player_tooltip player_id='2323271' first='Gavin' last='Mueller'] (South Elgin)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mueller was a monster on the gridiron this fall and the tight end flipped his commitment from Colorado to Miami.&nbsp; The Hurricanes commit is also a really good hooper that as a power forward brings athleticism up front.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OT – [player_tooltip player_id='2323290' first='Claude' last='Mpouma'] (Mt. Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mpouma was part of a state championship basketball team at Phillips before he even played football.&nbsp; Then as a junior he racked up the offers for football as the best offensive lineman in the 2026 class and transferred to Mt. Carmel.&nbsp; Played hoops last year and now is headed to Nebraska for football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>OT – [player_tooltip player_id='2823585' first='Tony' last='Balanganayi'] (Palatine)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Balanganayi will actually play defensive line at Illinois, but we prefer him at offensive tackle.&nbsp; Elite footwork which is also shown on the basketball court as he is a double double machine for Palatine!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>G – [player_tooltip player_id='2823657' first='Kemmeon' last='Hale'] (Murphysboro)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hale is a huge body inside for Murphysboro that brings strength, athleticism, and tenacity inside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>G – [player_tooltip player_id='2927775' first='Cedrick' last='Carter'] (Intrinsic Downtown)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter brings power and raw strength at the guard spot along with the ability to get to the second level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>C – [player_tooltip player_id='2439327' first='Jalil' last='Amous'] (Lincoln Park)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Amous is a big man that can really move!&nbsp; Love him as our center that brings mobility and athleticism at the pivot spot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Returner – [player_tooltip player_id='2125687' first='Travis' last='Brown'] (West Aurora)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is absolutely electric on the basketball side going coast to coast with his speed and vision.&nbsp; Expect the same as a returner!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
