Amous is a big-bodied guard who’s a playmaker on both ends of the floor. Quick, active hands guarding on the ball which led to several fast-break opportunities in his first contest. Adds a smooth touch when finishing around the rim. Added a corner 3-pointer towards the end of the first game, too.

Amous first popped on my radar in June at the UIC team camp as a big body undersized post at 6’4” that had quite a bit of skill to his game. He was a monster at The EXPO with his unique skill set. For his size he is so nimble on his feet, handles it tremendously well including breaking down defenders in the open floor along with bully ball, and was throwing pinpoint passes for buckets. Also shoots it well from both mid-range and three. Projects as a really good small college or JUCO prospect that is going to be a fun one to watch on one of the top teams in the city this year.

Jalil showed some promise on Saturday morning against Minnesota Select . He’s a long but powerful wing prospect who can score in a variety of ways. Showed some shot creating ability out on the perimeter with a smooth pull-up jumper. Was also comfortable dribbling into a post-up and using his physicality to bully opposing wings inside. Has some nice potential moving forward as he continues to polish his game and become a bit more efficient.
