Despite a 3-3 start, Olentangy Liberty has been very competitive against a tough schedule and Sullivan was a clear standout on Sunday. One of the more athletic wings in central Ohio, Sullivan had a monster chase down block and has the physical tools to be an impact defender at the next level. Brunswick tried trapping Olentangy Liberty and when the Patriots broke those traps, Sullivan got a handful of open layups on the block. I also liked a big to big pass action Sullivan connected with in the paint. I'd have Sullivan pretty high on my small college recruiting board in central Ohio.

One thing about Evert is he will simply outwork the other team. Crashing the offensive glass hard, Evert creates extra possessions for his team and is deliberate with his driving style getting straight to the rim. A team with talented shooters, you need a utility guy to bring toughness and Evert fills that role perfectly. Those hustle plays can win games when the margins between teams are so slim.

Another player who flat out outworks the opposition, you can't tell Bell he isn't able to get a rebound or loose ball. For his height, Bell might be the best offensive rebounder in the state. Once he gets those extra possessions in the paint, he has the strength to finish through contact with numerous and-1 layups. I also was impressed by Bell's finishing with both hands at the rim. Not the most talented player you'll find but it's extremely difficult to find a player who competes harder than Bell does.

After getting punched in the mouth (figuratively, not literally) to start the game, Pickerington Central responded with a great second half effort to almost pull off a miracle comeback. Snyder hit multiple time and space 3-pointers and defensively he blocked a shot and hustled for a steal. Nice effort by a senior who has played in a ton of big games throughout his career.

Larrison has become another one of my favorite small college targets in the OCC has the senior forward showed off his ability to attack closeouts and drive in a straight line. With the height to score over smaller defenders in the paint and stretch out slower bigs on the perimeter, Larrison can be a mismatch for opposing teams.

Westerville North played the most competitive game of the weekend in an instant classic of defending state champions. McCree was the best offensive player in the halfcourt all game long by making some nasty moves off the dribble by showing his ability to create offense for himself. Hitting a couple clutch 3-pointers while also having the speed to get all the way to the rim, McCree is a very tough cover.

In an intense game filled with older players, Irby was one of the calmest players on the court despite being just a freshman. The wing made a handful of impressive passes with skips across the court as well as transition drop offs. An impressive shooter as well, Irby spaced the floor for Lutheran East off the catch. One of the top 2029 prospects, it was nice to see Irby shine in such a big game.

Another new name to Lakota West this season helping them complete some unfinished business from the year prior, Richardson made some key shots on the perimeter and Lakota West ran some nice actions to get him running off screens for opportunities to either shoot or attack a hard closeout. Late in the game, Richardson had a clutch 3-pointer and forced a 5 second violation. Those are key winning plays for a sophomore to make in a game of that magnitude.
