At the beginning of September we had 355 players to rank for the 2026 class and we are still at 355.

39 players are new and some have moved to different states, focused on different sports, and went into the 2027 class.

Of the 39 new players, 5 only fell in the top-100 and 16 in the top-200. The other 23 fell in the top-355.

This means most of the players saw their stock stay about the same at least 16 spots up or down in the rankings.

Our goal at PrepHoopsAZ is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues/Prep Hoops Circuit, Arizona Top-250 EXPO, my personal Southwest Basketball Camp and during the AIA/CAA/OTE/NIBC/EIBC/Grind Session seasons.

1. It was a big early verbal commit list with local top-20 players with [player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] to Duke, [player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2564039' first='Aliou' last='Dioum'] to West Virginia, [player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] to Arizona, [player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] to Maryland, [player_tooltip player_id='1595670' first='Ikenna' last='Alozie'] to Houston, [player_tooltip player_id='2045301' first='Vaughn' last='Karvala'] to Indiana, [player_tooltip player_id='1482165' first='Rider' last='Portela'] to Colorado, [player_tooltip player_id='1150823' first='Kalek' last='House'] to Xavier, [player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] to San Francisco, [player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] to Stetson, [player_tooltip player_id='2211004' first='Rokiem' last='Green'] to San Jose State and [player_tooltip player_id='2297971' first='Hale' last='Hansen'] to Montana State.

2. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the CAA, Grind Session, EIBC, OTE and the AIA obviously has different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on independent or up and coming circuits (Pangos, NxtPro, EYCL, UAA Rise, Prep Hoops, WCE, New Balance, The Stage and so on). So you put all that information together and create the rankings.

3. The reality is if the player has not grown in height, has not improved his shooting, IQ for the game is the same, he is not a top-tier defender and he is undersized for his position, he probably dropped in the rankings.

4. If you are looking at your ranking, you should really look at your positional ranking. That means more. For example college coaches needing a PG will now look at [player_tooltip player_id='2211006' first='Jordan' last='Charles'] and not [player_tooltip player_id='1782699' first='Quincy' last='Wadley'], even though Wadley is rated higher. I get calls about position, not tell me your overall top ranked players.

5. Of the 355 players we have 77 PG's, 60 SG's, 55 CG's, 76 SF's, 74 PF's and 13 C's.
