2026 Guard and UTSA commit Nasir Price scored 25 pts in a win against top ranked team Atascocita High School. Nasir's scoring ability was on full display as he capitalized on hitting open shots from the three-point line while also scoring by going downhill driving aggressively to the basket. On the offensive glass Nasir was able to contribute to that stat category automatically going up after those opportunities with put backs. Throughout the game Nasir was very efficient and got plenty of trips to the free throw line. I was impressed with Nasir's performance against one of the best teams in the state!

[player_tooltip player_id='2251881' first='Royce' last='Shelton'] gave a huge boost with his play against Seven Lakes High School. I was impressed with how well he competed with his hustle and effort while he was on the floor. Offensively, he was aggressive when going downhill, converting layups with his skillful craftiness. He also managed to get into his spots in the mid-range for open jumpers and grabbed a couple of offensive rebounds. Defensively he was able to show his physicality on the ball getting up close to pressure ball handlers. Royce will be a huge contributor for an Atascocita High School squad looking to make a huge push in the playoffs.

Eric “EJ” Beard was involved in multiple possessions against Dickinson High School. In this game, EJ capitalized on his driving ability by getting to the basket numerous times, skillfully maneuvering around multiple defenders. While driving to the basket, he also finished through fouls at a high rate. Besides his exceptional ability to get to the basket, EJ also shot pretty well from mid-range. Due to his aggressiveness with the ball in his hands, he frequently found himself at the free throw line offensively. Defensively, EJ stole the ball from opposing players' hands, keeping his hands active and contributing to the Heights defensive stops on that end. Overall, I was impressed with EJ's competitiveness throughout his game against Dickinson.

[player_tooltip player_id='2476418' first='TroyNelle' last='Belle'] was a standout player from Dickinson High School that showcased his physical presence on both ends of the court during the game against Heights High School. Offensively, he seized numerous opportunities in the paint by capitalizing on high-percentage play finishes. Defensively, he demonstrated his ability to protect the rim, blocking a couple of shots and providing help defense in the paint. [player_tooltip player_id='2476418' first='TroyNelle' last='Belle'] against Heights High School finished with a remarkable performance as he secured 20 points and 8 rebounds which lead to a victory for Dickinson High School.

Kobe Lacy is a standout guard for Humble High School who showcased a good performance against Nimitz High School. He scored 16 points and played a crucial role defensively on the perimeter. Offensively, Kobe demonstrated his shooting ability by elevating high on his jumpers, making multiple attempts from both the perimeter and mid-range with impressive mechanics. As an aggressive defender, he put pressure on opposing ball handlers which forced them to make hasty decisions. In the half-court, Kobe effectively closed gaps with his active hands as he generated steals. His competitive spirit is evident on both ends of the floor!
