On Monday, November 3rd we released our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. Over the course of the last few months we have continued to evaluate across summer grassroots events, fall showcases and leagues, and our travels to specific high schools to watch their preseason workouts. As always, we look to update our rankings every few months and we wanted to get this latest update done before the start of the upcoming high school season. We were able to expand a big from ranking the Top 35 to the Top 50 while adding over 50 prospects in total bringing the Class of 2028 database to nearly 500 prospects. Over the course of this week we will be diving deeper into the rankings by highlighting stock-risers, new names, top watch list names, and much more. Let's dive on in.

One of a trio of South Ripley High School freshmen that got some varsity experience last season, Gilpin will step into a go-to roll for the Raiders as a sophomore. The 6'3" guard has excellent positional size and athleticism in the backcourt. He has the ability to create his own shot from all levels, but is especially dangerous when getting downhill and attacking the rim. It will be good to see him in an expanded role this season.

Morgan put together a highly productive freshman season for a team that did plenty of winning. He was the second leading scorer at 11.8 points per game for a Class 1A North Semi-State team. The 6'1" guard shot a very impressive 52-141 (36.9%) from three-point range. He will now be the Golden Bears go-to option and is set up to have some big time scoring seasons in the future.

Neidigh emerged as a rotational piece for Barr-Reeve as a freshman averaging 3.4 points per game. With the graduation of three of their top four scorers, the 6'2" wing is part of a young crop of talent that will be "next up" to lead the Vikings. His two-way versatility makes him a prospect to watch over the coming years.

There is never a shortage of talent coming through the program at Ben Davis High School. Rogers will be fighting for some varsity minutes in the backcourt rotation this season, but should be ready to step into a larger role down the road. He is an excellent playmaker with some downhill explosiveness and good passing ability from a live dribble as he attacks the basket. What he can do off of ballscreens is impressive.

Anytime you see a 6'5" forward with some skill level at Carmel High School you are going to be intrigued. Schmeiser stood out in spurts at a recent Carmel practice that we attended. He moves around the floor fluidly, can make face-up jump shots, and projects as a good rebounder as well. Getting physically stronger will be part of the equation for him moving forward, but that will come with time. There is a lot of upside to be exited about.

Wood had a solid freshman season in the rotation for a Triton High School team that reached the Class 1A North Semi-State. Now, as a sophomore, the 6'0" guard will be ready to step into a larger role for a team that should once again be very competitive at the 1A level. He is a good athlete with elevation on his jump shot, creative finishing ability, and a smooth outside stroke. Look for him to put up some big scoring numbers over the next few seasons.
