The Overtime Elite season tipped off a couple of weekend ago and the majority of teams have two or more games under their belts. Obviously this is a limited sample size, but there are some significant signs of what's to come for some of these prospects off to hot starts as a few are putting the ball in the rim at an elite level.

Jones is averaging a league-high 35 points per game for Moravian Prep/YNG Dreamerz who also sit atop of the league standings with a 4-0 record. The 6-foot-4 guard is doing damage with efficiency on volume as he's converting 54.8 percent from the field and 44.7 percent beyond the arc. Jones requires minimal time and space to get his shot off. Combine that with his willingness as a relocator around the perimeter and instincts with feeling his man out coming off pindowns and you get a flurry of three's like he's shown thus far. His best outing to date came when he put up 41 in a win against City Reapers where he connected on nine of his 18 attempts from three. Jones has also shown ability to attack closeouts with a quick first step and throw down a dunk or two when he has a clear path for takeoff.

Connor went nuclear over the weekend in Combine's win over Fear of God Athletics where the 6-foot-2 lead guard erupted for 47 points on 69.2 percent from the field. To make matters even more impressive, he pulled down 11 boards, dished out seven assists and collected four steals in what would go down as a definitive, stat-stuffing performance. After starting the season with two losses, the Blue Checks have won two-straight to sit a .500 overall. With Connor playing at the level that he is over the last two contests, those winning ways have a great chance of continuing. He ranks second in the league at 32.8 points per game.

Daughtry was one of the my favorite point guards to watch this summer playing up on the EYBL Circuit with Florida [program_tooltip program_id='2076878' first='Rebels' last='']. The combination of feel, pace, and killer mentality that he brings as a lead guard is a joy to watch. Through three OTE games this season, that cold-blooded scoring ability has taken centerstage as the 6-foot-1 point guard is logging 32.3 points per contest, which ranks third in the league. He's shooting just below 40 percent from deep, which is admirable due to the fact that the majority are coming off the bounce and his own creation. He's also dishing out seven dimes and grabbing five rebounds per game as Fear of God Athletics sit with a 2-1 overall record.

Oumiddoch played hero in the Cold Hearts' season opening win over RWE as he came up in crunch time to put the icing on a 31-point performance. The 6-foot-5 guard is a dynamic scorer who has spent the last year expanding his game in this sense, becoming more capable off the bounce and showing better awareness for time-and-score to look for his own. Known as an automatic shooter off the catch, Oumiddoch has become more confident attacking closeouts and not only accepting contact from opposing bigs rotating from the weak side, but finishing through it. He'll also use his patented long step-through incorporated with a shot-fake in the midst to freeze or get the opposing defender off their feet before finishing with creative floaters. Oumiddoch is averaging 29.4 points per game, good enough for fourth overall.

It's unsurprising that Ellis would be a part of the top-5 in this category, particularly early on as he looks to fill the massive box score impact that his brother left behind. The 6-foot-1 southpaw guard is extremely crafty with his approach and comes equipped with a quick, fluid trigger from three that never wavers in confidence. Ellis and Jones are the motor behind YNG's strong 4-0 start as Ellis accounts for 28 point, 10.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. His percentages could use some improvement, but given the usage percentage and heavy shot diet, it can be expected.
