Thompson consistently brought the ball up the court in the slot, giving himself early one-on-one advantages and direct angles to the nail, where he made quick, decisive reads possession after possession. In fast-paced situations, he was excellent at drawing attention and forcing defenders to collapse, allowing him to kick out to teammates trailing the break or spacing to the wings. For a point guard, Thompson showcased high-level leaping ability, finishing above the rim and rebounding on both ends in game-changing fashion.
[player_tooltip player_id='1590879' first='Bryce' last='Dixon'] put up a dynamic 24 points and 8 rebounds. He made the game look easy, especially on the defensive end, where it felt like Dixon could create a turnover any time the ball was within reach. On the ball, he ripped it away with ease and punched it through the rim on the other end. Bryce jumped passing lanes like a magnet to the ball, and everything he did defensively led directly to transition and fastbreak points. As a shot creator, he showed a ton of pop and burst in his dribbles, putting defenders on their heels. Dixon's confidence as a ball-handler was evident, combining moves together with poise before whipping passes that led directly to scoring opportunities.

Incredible lockdown on ball defender who takes pride in his defensive prowess and ability to create turnovers, get consistent stops, and dictate the entire rhythm of a possession. His stance is low, his feet are active, and he mirrors ball-handlers with elite lateral slide efficiency, cutting off driving, passing, and shooting angles before they even form. His hands were reactive and disruptive, constantly probing for deflections without gambling himself out of position, constantly stunting at the dribble, swiping down on exposed pockets, and baiting guards tough angles, creating clean steals to spark the fast break on countless occasions.
