What’s not to like about Amare? He stands at 5’10 5’10 6'0" Granbury | 2027 TX (ish), but his game is much bigger than that. He is lightning quick with a handle that is on a string, he gets anywhere on the floor quickly, and makes you pay for any defensive mistakes with accurate 3’s and/or pinpoint assists to his teammates. Overall, he was one of the best lead guards in the building. He is college-ready for sure. I’m excited to watch Antonian this season.

Amare was one of the more complete guards I was able to scout on Saturday morning. He helped his team in all facets of the game and was a 3-level scorer as well as a vocal leader and point guard. Guerra has great energy and hustle on both ends of the court, as well scoring at will despite being undersized. He was constantly able to use quickness, and a variety of dribble moves to beat defenders to the basket and finish through hard fouls or tough defense. One of the higher IQ point guards I was able to watch this weekend, Amare has been making waves all summer playing for Houston Hoops EYBL and has definitely gotten his name on plenty of radars. I know I will definitely be watching him more closely as the summer goes on now!

Guerra delivered his best game of the weekend in a showdown with Mokan. He poured in 25 points and dished out 5 assists, operating with complete control from start to finish. His shot-making off the bounce and his reads in pick-and-roll were surgical. Guerra got to his spots, hit big-time shots, and set the tone with toughness. One of the top guard performances of the session.
