Below are four Forwards to Watch this winter in the NHIAA.

McCauley, a sophomore forward out of Portsmouth High School, has some of the most intriguing long term potential of any prospect in the class. He's a long and athletic 6'7" that plays hard on both ends of the floor and is just scratching the surface of his potential. He averaged 5.7 points per game as a freshman, but that number could triple this winter and doesn't tell the whole story of his game. He's an uber-versatile defender, high level two-way rebounder, and flies up and down the floor in transition. There might not be a better public school duo in New England than McCauley and his teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='2594613' first='Derek' last='Swartz'].

O'Rourke, a sophomore forward out of Bedford High School, is a breakout candidate in the NHIAA this winter. He had a bit role as a freshman on a really good Bedford team, but could shine this winter in a bigger role. He averaged 1.6 points per game in limited action last winter, but intrigues with his combination of athleticism, mobility, and length. At 6'6", he's one of the bigger and stronger prospects in the NHIAA and has the ability to do a lot of damage on the offensive and defensive glass. He also stands out with his timing and instincts as a shot blocker on the defensive end of the floor.

Longbrook, a freshman forward out of Pinkerton Academy, is one of a handful of 2029's to watch out of New Hampshire. At 6'2", he has the size to play in the paint, but also shows some budding ability to play out on the perimeter. He does a nice job of running the floor, can be physical defensively in the paint, and scores with either hand around the rim. Pinkerton normally has a strong program and he's a prospect who's growth will be interesting to track over the coming years.

Daignault, a freshman forward out of Bishop Guertin High School, impresses with his combination of physicality and size. He does a nice job of making plays as a two-way rebounder, can defend in the post without fouling, and is capable of scoring with his back to the basket on the other end of the floor. As he develops his perimeter game, his ceiling will only rise. He's another prospect at a well-respected program that should have solid growth to his game over the coming years.
