The New England Basketball League is on the rise as current college freshman are making immediate impacts now while others are getting good minutes. A few others are a year or two away from being the man on their college rosters. The following players deserve credit where credit is due. Part I of my next couple of articles is all about underrated and over looked players who can help D1/D2 coaches and teams from the NEBL. These players can be the same as mentioned above.

A very improved shooter at first glance the most improved in the NEBL league, more confidence having the green light with the capability to make hurried shots with side steps, off PNR's, catch and shoots. He appears to have a longer wing span based off the eye test even though the roster from last year has the same height listed. He defends well whether its positions 1-3. A stronger athlete who explodes more efficiently and I predict he will be on many college radars soon during his senior campaign. He can either have a really great D2 career or make major contributions in the Ivy League, Patriot, Southern, Southland type leagues.

A dribble drive penetration nightmare for opponents. Explosive and violent with his dribble drive moves in a good way. Quick as a cat, seems off balanced but his strength keeps his balance in check. He can rise up with his bounce to get shots off and plays through contact, meaning he can be effective finishing at the rim or mid-range. On the other side of the ball he is effective altering shots, passes and dribbling. I foresee Jaylen having a great D2 career or make major contributions in the Ivy League, Patriot, Southern, Southland type leagues.

Jack has offers from Northeastern, Bethune-Cookman & McNeese but more will come from D1/D2 schools. The Texas native is capable of guarding anyone/position on the floor. He stretches the floor with his rhythm shooting and very capable of being consistent. A glue guy who makes an impact on the floor staying within himself, making accurate decisions with the ball and good help defense. He is big and causes matchup problems off PNR's or movement without the ball.

Only returner on the South Kent Prep Roster. He is long, lean but don't let that trick you. He is stronger than last year with improved balance. An improved consistent shooter from long range who has the ability to carry his team night in and night out. Currently holds 5 D1 offers but schools better hurry up before it is too late. His endurance and energy is magnificent leading to him being a double double machine. Guards well enough to alter any shot from any positional player. Prediction is he will have 20 plus offers before end of season and Top 5 most improved in consistency in NEBL.

A point guard who is a silent scorer. A starter for South Kent loaded with 2026's, one of five underclassmen contributing for them. Takes care of the rock, defends well, hard working. Most likely will finish as the second leading scorer only behind CJ Birden. Consistent free throw shooter and a mid-range fiend. Will make a long range shot as well even though its not his go to. He is underrated in my opinion and will be a nice D2 player for a college soon enough but is on my stock riser list for a reason with a ceiling reaching D1 level as he has two full seasons to get there.

Incredible scorer from all three levels. Plays through contact and can heat up in an instant. Runs the floor well creating space and transition offense opportunities. Capable of taking over a game and being the dude on the floor as the go to scorer. I think he can play anywhere in the country if he wanted to. He has the strength to guard all 5 positions and quickness/intelligence to guard 1-3.
